What an awesome day out with a great bunch of Hard guys, and who considering most have only done level 2 rides before all acquitted them self's very well with no whining or grisleling and having ago at every thing I could throw at them with very  little help required accept for a couple of minor brake downs and some of us need some help over tree roots and rut changes and a couple of bikes needing riding here and there on some of the very tricky hills.
I started the day with the normal rutted track ride of the car park and headed down to sawdust for our first up hill for the day then did our normal fist loop in reverse coming back down lizards. We then headed of to an overgrown unused 4wd loop track which we found on the pre ride last week with everyone getting through that with out to much problems.
We then headed up onto the outskirts of the plantation were we crossed it but found three trees down, we went under 2 but lifted a few bikes over the third then when everyone else arrived a few of us picked up the third and got it on the ground were the rest could ride over it.
We then headed down towards the Paris track area were we did a couple of my usual loops with me coming to grief on the second one loosing the front on a greasy rutted up hill section landing on my RH tail bone which made for interesting riding for me for the rest of the day but although was hard to get on and off the bike and walking is pain full was still able to ride on ok.
We then did one of the extreme overgrown disused 4wd tacks with a more than 40 degree climb yours truly had to have a few goes but got up riding the clutch in 3rd.
We then came back to the camping area were we took the track with lots of muddy hills both up and down and worked our way to Beards track were we then went down Sweatwater track to another over grown unused 4wd track were we had a minor break down with a chain coming of a Gas Gas due to a loose sprocket and then onto the up and down track that follows the fence line of the state forest and working our way through the bog hole section were James decided to have a bath and a swim in one of them but did not complain once about it.
We then made our way back to Beards once more and headed for the optional hill at Hard Up Haul. As we were approching the hill area Nathan decide to have a blast of ahead and by the time I got to the optional hill climb Nathan had already climbed it and was gone so it was no longer an optional hill so we all climbed it eventually with some of us needing some minor help but we all made it up. We then made our way back to Beards and returned to the car park for fuel and lunch with around 60 odd klms under our tyres for the morning. We then headed out around 1.15 up the latrobe river rd to find some more over grown 4 wd tracks and the track with the triple erosion mounds heading towards the river finding some great tracks I had not been on before . We eventually found our selfs back on Sweatwater and returning to Beards so we headed up Beards a few KLMS to one of my favorite loops which leads to a killer hill climb, only killer as the tracks are so worn out from 4wds. We stop on the way and a few went down the hill and had a go at coming back up which gave us some entertainment for a while, we then head around the loop taking in a steep muddy hill climb which we had not done before and bringing us back to the killer hill. Nathan got up first and then I had a go getting stuck between a rock and a hard place but Nathan and Carl came to my rescue getting the wheels on better terrain for a better drive up the hill. It took the rest about half an hour to get up with a couple of bikes needing riding up. by this time it was getting dark so we started to head for the car park, at the next regroup we were short a few riders so after a while a couple of guys went back to find out what was going on to discover Nathan's fuel hose had come of his tank and he had no fire in his engine. Not long after they all returned and we headed for home getting back to the cars in the dark with smiles from ear to ear on everyone's faces with a total around 125kms under our wheels.
Please add post's to tis report of your thoughts on the day, and grade the ride using the new grading system so I can gauge it against what level I thought todays ride was.
8 of us then headed of to the Robin Hood Inn for some very serious bench racing time and dinner in the Red room. A big thank you to all the guys who came along and made it such a day to remember and also the 4 guys who pre rode the morning loop with me last week it worked a treat. T Shirts should be available at next weeks meeting so get along then to collect them. Will

James and Sean one word for you two SOFT, only pain I have is in my hip from kissing the ground and the pain of having to wash every part of my gear including first aid bum bag, you would not believe the places I have found clay splatter, as I was doing the washing I was trying to work out how to do a HTFU for the level 1 guys but I think what we did for them last time was a level 1 HTFU. I lead you guys astray last night regarding the spin on the washer it is 1600rpm not 16000rpm. Will
P.S, still not as soft as the soft cocks who chickened out.

You certainly did softy, sunshine and cold to begin with but very wet and greasy tracks with puddles resembling bog holes nearly every were, we had light showers in the morning and heavy showers in the afternoon but it did not matter as were so wet and muddy anyway, used the grip warmers on low on and off most of the day which made a bit easier on the hands. Just got to work on SRS system for arse and hip protection, time to fit my new front tyre starting to loose the front to often now. Come next week Dustin and you will get to do the first half of the ride in the afternoon. Will

16,000 rpm on the washing machine, I did have my doubts. Good on you for confirming it was pure bench racing bullpoo.

Thanks for putting on a great ride Will. I didn't sleep well last night, I think I'm still getting over the shock of Matt's jocks!!

Count me in for next week.
