AMTRA and XTERRA Australia - April 5, 2008

Well here we were with alot of fit people in a supporting role for this Global event which was staged at Daylesford.
John Theisz organised Adam Jackson and mysef to attend on behalf of AMTRA. We had a great day, running the course to ensure all was in order. Our duties included; leading out the 50Km Cycle event, leading and tailing the 10Km Triathalon and leading, mid fielding and tailing the 40km Triathalon. The people who do these events, both on an organisational and participant level are amazing. Full credit to them. Below is a brief of the event. Rgds Brad.

SuperSprint is pleased to bring XTERRA to Daylesford Australia as part of the XTERRA Global Tour and as the National Championships.

XTERRA is the world’s most popular adventure series and features Global Tour events in North America, South America, Europe, Japan, New Zealand and XTERRA World Championships in Hawaii each year.

SuperSprint searched extensively for the ideal venue in Australia; from North Queensland to Victoria, and Daylesford was selected as the best location – a great venue and course in an award winning tourist location. XTERRA is about providing participants with a fun event in the natural environment. The event will also include an XTERRA sprint event, a MTB event and a Trail Run/Walk event. 

SuperSprint will be staging XTERRA Australia on Saturday April 5, 2008. This date was carefully selected to be within a week of the New Zealand XTERRA event for all our international competitors visiting the region. In an attempt to ensure the warmest possible weather we have opted to hold the event on the first weekend in April, so as to provide the most comfortable racing conditions for all participants.
