I have had the WRF in bikepoint for 2 weeks and not a single phone call. But on Thursday i got a call. Friday the chick came over to have a look with her expert mate.

Turns out she was a fed police officer working in East Timor and wanted to ship a bike over to ride. Good bikes sell themselves and with the cash waved under my nose the deal was done.

Unfortunatly there was the little matter of the ride i had organised the next day. I tried to delay the pick up till Sunday and sneak in the ride. No one would ever know. But they wanted to take the bike right there and then. No problem, i would shoot over to poostone Yamaha in Ringworm and hire something.

Waved the WR goodbye and went into Ringwood to get a loaner. "All booked out sorry" Damm. Followed up a few other leads, but to no avail.

Had a look around the garage to what was left of the bike fleet. Too bad i had sold the YZ250 several weeks ago, so that left the BMW 1150GS and the postie bike as the registered contenders. I reakon the BMW probably would not be the go unless i turned the ride into a dirt road tour. Postie it is.

5 riders turned up on a clear cold morning at Taggerty. We did the usual ride to the lookout via some tracks i had cleared the previous week with the chainsaw. The postie was doing ok and even managed to get ahead of the pack a couple of times.

Soon we hit a steep hill and it was all over for the 110cc donk. With a shove it made it up. Did some exploring after lunch. Soon i hit reserve and decieded to start heading back via some great trails.

Eventuly the constant valve bouncing emptied the 5 litre tank and i had to bot a liter off Jeff.

Dave decked it near the end and tweaked his knee. Great ride and great weather. Finished early at 3pm and did 95km.
