Yes, I heard Pakenham was getting hammered, and thought of you.

Keep safe, and if all goes to poo, do what real men do.......RUN!

I dont know where your place is Will however during the ash Wednesday  fires there was heaps of Narre Warren and Berwick on fire.  I can clearly remember the fires along the highway at Offcer (and everywhere else for that matter).  Amtra used to have a group attached to the Croydon SES and it was our job to tell the residents to get ready to leave by driving to all the outlying  properties.  Not much fun when you are greeted by a shotgun in your face a 2 in the morning.  Hopefully you dont have too much open land around you and the fires are controlled quickly.

Drove back from Bairnsdale this afternoon and got a different view --- not looking good,, last I heard was that the firey's are hoping to stop it jumping the McAlister river,if it does, then it will be in the Avon Wilderness and then there will be no hope of controlling/containing it.  now well over 45,000 hectares. Sad   ...
