Changed two tyres and registered the bike. Taken off last of the ADR gear. Fitted the rear chain guide after they knocked off the original for a spare and just gave me the parts.

Ready to ride.

Changed the oil and filters on the wr250. Fixed the heated grips on the wr450. Gave both a wash with my new Karcher, love that thing. Mrs then yelled at me, "get out of the garage". Life goes on... Grin

After going on wills ride on Sat and finding one of those deep neeram bog holes he told us about ( sandy water basically ) Shouldnt have spun the rear wheel so much trying to get my bike out of the quicksand should I, would have had half the work to do on sunday ( lesson learned )

Removed and cleaned chain and sprockets
Removed flushed and repacked front and rear wheel bearings (good quailty marine grease this time around )  Wink
Removed cleaned chain guide
Cleaned ten tuns of poo out of my air box  Angry
New air filter
New Plug
Turned the rear tyre , those S12's dont last long in dry weather do they  Shocked
Checked and Lubed the cables

Quite an enjoyable morning i reckon ........ ready to head out and cant wait till saturday  Grin

Great week in the shed!
Stripped the RMZ down to the frame & sent it to the sand blaster, I told him to work long & hard to make the frame lighter! Got it back & it now weighs just 1.25kg

To save more weight I stripped the seat off, my mates tell me I should ride standing up anyway!

Then I picked up some new tyres off EBAY, yee haaar the guy I bought em off was a fool, I dun got a Dunlop Direza super motard tyre with fresh grooves cut in it for $395, and a sweet Maxxis rear 19" tyre off the same bloke. It was just $300 & has only done 2 fink desert races so it should be real good!

I fitted em up, but broke 2 scewdrivers around the rims, I think the tube valves have dirt in em though cause the tyres keep going flat. But I think they will stop leaking after I get riding for a few k's

While I had the motor out I did freshen it up, I washed the dirt off, took the thing out of the top of the motor ( white bit with a bit of wire on the bottom) & stuck the hose in for  while to give it a good clean.

One of me mates told me I should re gap the plug before I fit it, so I wrapped electrical tape all around the exhaust plug & it now fits sweet!

Things has been tight with cash lately so I got sum second hand oil from a local workshop, me mate who runs the place says his oil is really good cause his customers only travel around the city so he says I should get 10,000 out of this oil change.

I will have it all together this weekend, I will start off gentle just to get used to the power & traction. Then after about an hour of doin donuts at the park I will tackle some tough tracks Marroondah hwy.

Cant wait till I hard rubbish day next month, I need a new helmet!
