I will be back next year, but most likely as pit crew. Unless Nath can get my speed closer to where it needs to be  Tongue

If that's all you've got to hang on to after a comprehensive arse kicking by someone 16 years older than you, then you can have that one! This event is about the amount of laps not lap times.
Bring on 2014!!!  Grin Grin

it must be really stinging you deep down with a response of that nature. Shocked

Annndddd with the amount of training you did i would of hope you beat me!

While were on lap times because they are important! even though you got a fantastic placing of 9th which Im very jealous of! if you were 6 secs quicker you would of got 8th... just saying

No sting here mate, I beat you by a fair bit and that's all I wanted to do!  And I'll do it again next year  Grin

Now that I've thought about it 6 seconds for 8th does sting a bit!

Hattah is only 3 months away, if you're keen my bragging rights could end after that race.

Well done on the efforts guys - how good a weekend was it!!

I didnt realise any of you were there untill i saw an amtra jersey and helmet complete with a mo-hawk once the race had commenced.

I tackled it for the second year after only riding 5 times since last years event (sunday was my first ride this year!!) - I lost my license a week after the event last year so riding opportunities have been very rare!.

Did it this year in a pairs team (4's last year) but unfortunatley my partner twisted his knee on the "detour" hill around about lunch time, I treated it like a trail ride the whole time, as soon as i heard a valve bounce behind me i'd pull over and let them through (fark their fast!) and i'm sure at some point all of you probably passed me!

Taking the chequered flag was a sensational feeling and we finished up 36th out of 62 in the pairs - i did 10 laps personally which considering how unfit and overweight I am i'm absolutly stoked about!

the old RMX went faultlessly all day - except for the seat falling of on my first lap - and it was a great feeling ringing its neck up each of the hills and passing all the stricken motorcrossers each lap (was the only place I really passed anyone!!)

I can get back on the bike early next month and plan on going back next year in much better shape and am even toying with joining some of you in iron man!

Well done mate that's a great result! Just competing in the 12hr is an achievement in itself.
Give ironman a go next year and really find out what you're made of!!

I had a good time as always in the 12 hour on my IT 175 G 1980 model I managed to finish my 3rd event and this year I came 13th in the ironman which I was happy with considering I had only 2 rides in 12 months and only 1 ride in the 7 months before the event, plus I am 135kg and 45y Smiley.

For me I just ride at half pace or less it is the only way to get to the end of the 12 hour and as for the fast blokes there was more of them this year than in the passed and I suspect this 12hour event is going to turn into yet another one for all the gun riders and the weekend worriors will give it a miss, I hope I am wrong and it stays a event for the every day punters.

As for going back next year I heard on the grape vine that there will only be 4 man teams & mixed there will be no ironman class to try and get numbers down on the track at anyone time, if this turns out to be the case then I will not be riding as I only like doing the event in ironman class.

Cheers Mick.
