Ok just my 2 bobs worth
Having more experienced riders on lower level ride could encourage people as everyone started at the same level.

Maybe we need to run some how  not to get roosted info days
as most of my rides are spent with in 2 to 4 meters of Peter 570
and over the last 40 odd years of riding I may picked up a few ideas

For the few of you who  think we where were born with these skills
You see some one pass you when you think you are going to die  should inspire you
At least ask the question how the hell did they that what AM I DOING WRONG why can’t I do that
But time and time again nobody ever asks  which still amazes’ me.
Because  Peter and I still ask each other question
Even now when  I am riding I am watching his suspension  looking for better ways to do things

As I have 2 kids both of them ride most of the Daylesford crew know them so teaching and  passing on hints is all part of riding
And I do most of the time when I am out riding with them ( when they want to listen as Dad  doesn’t know anything )
So if the level ones are serious about improving their skill levels ask more question’s there is a wealth of knowledge on the bike
Beside you on the next rest stop  JUST ASK as nobody want to see anybody get hurt thru lack of knowledge
And if you don’t like roost ride faster

P.S
I get roosted by my own kids poo happens and pay backs are a bitch

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - throttle in the other - body thoroughly used up,totally worn out and screeming what a ride

HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?
Got know complaints on my Level 1-2 from anyone, got stories from 3 very quick d-heads of the fun they had. Got stories of amazement of their pace. Got stories of thanks for the time taken to pass on advice and stories about thanks for pushing us to improove. Having Shaz out riding with Amtra and me leading a ride means i have to ditch the loving hubby bit and put on the ride leader vest. And nothing makes that easier for me than the fact of the experienced riders i usually ride like a d head with are in the pack. I do both ends of Amtra's rider levels, and have been bored out of my brain sometimes, but two things make me keep doing them. One the smiles and thanks you get for helping someone as the learn to ride. Hence why Bob calls me master and i call her Grasshopper, spent a lot of time with her from the begining and seeing the improovement and exhitment makes any boring or frustrateing bits dissapear. Second is i remember what people like Uncle Phil, Peter R, John T ect did for me to get me to how i ride today.
Al

Ps. John T is right, JUST ASK!!
Ask why you feel?
Ask why i cant do this?
Ask how the hell did you do that?
Ask why when i do this, does this happen?
Ask?
Ask?
Ask?

Ask / What is clutch control
Ask / Why is momentum one of my friends
Ask / Why do I need to be smooth on the throttle
As Al Said ASk Ask ask don't be afraid 2 and if u think someone is trying to lead u a stray ask someone else
The only true dumb question is why didn't you ask sooner or at all
