Hi Zeb Smiley, in relation to the continued rain and the expected "Poor Ride Conditions" please find that my 250KLS Road/Trail is currently running 50/50 tyres not nobbies, so I am not sure how I will go on the ride in relation to traction?

If okay I will still be turning up at the meeting point anyway as planned and will take your advice on the day, in relation to my bikes capability to be able to make the ride or not based on your experience of the trail conditions given the weather. Cheers Ray

Count me in still, but a bit nervous re the conditions, I'm sure the nerves will disappear (hopefully)once we get moving

Being level 1, I was expecting an easy ride conditions, does the weather conditions change the ride conditions to a harder level?

I went out and bought a new jacket yesterday to try to keep a little dier,

Yes the wet can make the ride harder by a level or two mainly on the hills depending what the terrain is like. Anyway with Zeb leading the ride no need to worry as everyone will be in good hands.

Ray i have to be honest and say that unless you have knobbies it will be extremley difficult around bunyip , regardless of which direction we go we will at some stage encounter either an incline or a decent with trail tyres you dont stand a chance , Hate to say it but taking the weather into account it's probably better if you wait until the next ride ...

Its not that we dont want you their its your safety that concerns me ...  Example if you are going up and have no traction you will probably just wheel spin and stop , if you are going down and have no traction you will be a 200 kg mass out of control , unable to stop and at the mercy of what every you hit , 9 times out of 10 you will fall into the mud and all is hunky doree its the 10% chance that could keep of the bike and in hospital for a long time its just not worth the risk - hope you undersatand.

Hi Zeb,
Looks like my wife is coming down with a cold, so a ride in the wet might not be the best thing for her at the moment. I think she is a little disappointed about it Sad

However, at this stage, I'm still planning on getting out there. Making sure I pack my snorkel and fins.

Hi Zeb Smiley, Thanks for your advice and support its much appreciated.

As such taking into account your comments, I will not be attending tomorows ride.

I look forward to the next planned Level 1 ride, however hopefully I will have some nobbies fitted by then and I won't be riding it on the road (Might have a road bike additionally)!

Hopefully the next ride won't be far off.

I Hope everybody has a gr8 time out there tomorow.

Cheers and thanks again for your support; Ray Smiley
