It's been a tradition for I don't know how long for but it's on again, Cup Weekend family camping at Abbeyard. Different rides going out over the weekend, most of the riding around Abbeyard is level 2 standard. Might try for a 4X4 day trip again. Load up the family for a weekend in the Buffalo valley...

I can recall the day Australia went to the dogs... The day that I had to pay for sauce on my pie.

Having a nostalgic moment, abbeyard holds a lot of great memories. Here are a couple of reports I wrote some years ago.

So it's a week away now, I have a plan to go and ride Blue Rag Range Track, it's out towards Hotham off the Dargo High Plains Rd, Rooftop maps say it's the best ridge top track with great views. Not sure what day yet and it will be about 140km round trip so I'll be carrying a bit of fuel for the XR. For those bringing mini bikes to the club property the info you need to know is in here. http://www.vinamtra.com.au/forum/ember-information-for-amtra-victoria/ini-bike-rules-and-code-of-conduct-for-abbeyard/Rob C should be there lunchtime Friday, I plan later Friday afternoon, Phil R will probably beat us all and be there Thursday! We'll talk about that at the club meeting Wednesday.

Will probably be up there with the kids on Saturday sometime, but wont be doing any big rides myself. Do we need TAC85 or is this covered by MA insurance for the mini bikes?

It's about 30km from the property to the dam wall.

It's about 30km from the property to the dam wall. That ~30km is to Lake BuffaloLake Cobbler, on top of Mount Cobbler, is at the other end of Abbeyard-CobblerLake Track, quite some distance away and with sometimes challenging riding too.
