Title: Family Camp Abbeyard 2012 Post by: Tim Dykes on July 22, 2012, 10,01:11 AM It's been a tradition for I don't know how long for but it's on again, Cup Weekend family camping at Abbeyard.
Different rides going out over the weekend, most of the riding around Abbeyard is level 2 standard. Might try for a 4X4 day trip again. Load up the family for a weekend in the Buffalo valley... Here are a couple of reports I wrote some years ago.

Title: Re: Family Camp Abbeyard 2012 Post by: Tim Dykes on October 25, 2012, 11,51:55 PM So it's a week away now, I have a plan to go and ride Blue Rag Range Track, it's out towards Hotham off the Dargo High Plains Rd, Rooftop maps say it's the best ridge top track with great views. Not sure what day yet and it will be about 140km round trip so I'll be carrying a bit of fuel for the XR. (http://www.vinamtra.com.au/forum/gallery/18_26_08_08_3_04_11.jpg) For those bringing mini bikes to the club property the info you need to know is in here. http://www.vinamtra.com.au/forum/ember-information-for-amtra-victoria/ini-bike-rules-and-code-of-conduct-for-abbeyard/ (http://www.vinamtra.com.au/forum/ember-information-for-amtra-victoria/ini-bike-rules-and-code-of-conduct-for-abbeyard/) Rob C should be there lunchtime Friday, I plan later Friday afternoon, Phil R will probably beat us all and be there Thursday! We'll talk about that at the club meeting Wednesday. Title: Re: Family Camp Abbeyard 2012 Post by: David Smith on October 26, 2012, 12,45:43 AM We won't be there till saturday early arvo.

Do we need TAC85 or is this covered by MA insurance for the mini bikes? I should have looked at the word "Cobbler" better, I read the out to the lake bit and and thought Buffalo! Lack Cobbler via the 2WD road is about 75 km each way. Title: Re: Family Camp Abbeyard 2012 Post by: andianjul on October 28, 2012, 09,18:31 PM Tim, I was thinking of arriving on Saturday morning in time to ride. So, my questions are, what time are you planning to head out and what kind of range are you considering? Is Harrietville on the route (for lunch, maybe)?

Is Harrietville on the route (for lunch, maybe)? -Andrew G'day Andrew The weather for next weekend at the moment looks good so I don't think it will matter what day the ride I've planed happens. Saying that though I wasn't thinking of doing it Saturday, I was thinking of having a day at the property Saturday and would do the ride Sun or Mon depending on others thoughts. Saturday I'm sure there will be a ride somewhere, but I don't think I'll be on it. See you at the property. Title: Re: Family Camp Abbeyard 2012 Post by: Peter r on October 29, 2012, 01,31:39 AM I'm Probably going up on Friday, if i do, i can organise a ride for Saturday if anyone wants to come.

Not sure if i'm gunna Ride Sunday, might just do a little ride and spend the rest of the day sitting Around Drinking and wandering around the Property.
