Well what a day
Thanks Zeb for another top day out on the bikes you guys and girls that did not show up you missed out on a top days ridding
As Mario and I pulled up at the meeting point at the servo at 8:00 am there was not much parking left round the back with the bikes so we parked with the boats lol we grabbed a quick coffee said hello and we all headed off to the unloading area. After we all were geared up and ready Zeb done the AMTRA ride code talk and pointed out our tail man for the morning Ken (thank you Ken) Off we went a different direction for the morning after a small transport section we hit a small single trail then up Western Track all the way to the end were we regrouped and then the call came thru on the radio that a Husaberg won’t start. So the first bike down only 16km in Johnny and Zeb can fill in what happened back there. So off we go again back up western track turn up Gentle Annie and down to Tea Tree Track all the way to the end another transport section and up Quartz Creek Track then up South Hells Gate (and Yes it was just like Heaven) and down Robertson Creek Fine .This is where the fun started only about half of us made it to the bottom thru some nasty ruts and big drop offs that the rest stayed at the top and with some very patient 4wd boys watching and having a laugh at our expense it was time to head back up to the rest at the top the first few made it then there was bikes falling over every were as I sat at the bottom with the radio the last three had all but given up as it was decided that I would take them all the way down the track and meet up with the rest of the group further on(I still want a crack at that hill Zeb) As we waited at the regroup point under shade about 15 minutes has past I was calling out on the radio where are you Zeb answered you want believe who had a flat Fredo.With all of us back as a group we headed back to the cars up Gentle Annie and down Western Track with all back at the cars some packing up and some having lunch and refuelling for the arvo ride and only 6o ks under the belt We headed off again now with Fred as our tail main we went and did the other side of the park we road Bunyip Ridge Track, Andersons, a few others and finished off with Nash Creek Loop with now over a 100 ks under the belt and well after 4 o’clock it was time to head back to the cars with it all packed up and a bit of a chin wag we all headed home with no major offs for the day Thank you all. looking forward to another days ridding with you all
