You know to meet Al you think "nice bloke",but don't be fooled, he has a dark side. And it comes out on these Fumnia rides. If you ever feel like you need to test every skill you have on trailbike, this is the ride for you.
Your first test is a slippery hill climb. Angus made hard work out of it, kept complaining  something about a new tyre he should have fitted. Sure Angus, more homework for you.
Not much further along came the next test in the form of a tight rutted downhill, closely followed by numerous log crossing all taken in our stride by the whole group 10/10.
After crossing the main Fumina road we came to the next test, river crossings. This was done with great skill by most.
There was one incident where a Yami rider thout he seen a gold nugget in the river and went for closer look.
No harm done the Yami re-fired no prob's [ sorry can't remember names.] I know the sun was out but it was still to cold to swim.
Next test came in the form of Lady Manner Sutton! a rather nasty rocky down hill.
Most passed this test with flying colours, sorry Al but you were the only one I saw that put her down.
Some attemps were made at getting back up, one successful, most were not, including mine two attemps got about half way, 5/10 must try harder.
After about 85 ks we arrived at our lunch stop, a very welcome relief.
Snags n bread were delitefully prepared by the lovey lady's Shaz and Sam thank you again.
The rest was all to short as soon we were back on bike for the return ride, which incedently was more of the same only you got do it while being totally knackerd.
Al, great ride with a great crew, and thanks to Paul for doing tailman for the arvo.

It was a little soft, I didn't cramp at all on the way home Tongue

Great clubman ride Al, the weather was great, the group moved very well, no bike issues at all. The biggest problem I found was the sausages in bread were issued WITH NO ONION! now I'm sure PeterR wouldn’t let that slip on one of his rides!

I can recall the day Australia went to the dogs...
The day that I had to pay for sauce on my pie.

Cheers Jeff. Dave is doing a proper ride report. But thanks for the good wrap! I only dropped the bike three times, all with in 10 feet! Trying to stay stationary to let the nutters past. To give a clue to how steep the hill was, when you try and get your leg over the bike seat. And as high as you lift your leg, you still can only manage to hit your knee on the air box. Knew i shouldn't have stopped. Thanks Jeff and Pauly for tailman duties. Thanks to Shaz, Coop and Sam for the long drive out fto the lunch and fuel stop. And thanks to the group for flowing so well. I noticed that i maybe slow, but by the end of the day I was no longer sliding back through the pack? It wont be long before we are out there again, and maybe will intise some of the big talkers to step up to the plate and work out what a clubman ride is about? Cheers Al
Ps. Tim i past your address on to Shaz, good luck?

Thanks Al for a top day. You never fail to provide a great ride. It was well worth the drive down from Sydney to ride with you lot again.

Great ride, good to get through a full ride after tweaking by back lifting my bike on a hill a few weeks ago.
As expected, very technical, pretty demanding fast paced and hardly 10 seconds on a corner to catch your breath.
Grouse.
Thanks Al
