Why would you go and spoil a good photo of a WR (with snow capped mountains in the back ground) by parking a Husky next to it?

I have some video of the ride to bring to the meeting tonight.

Arrived Friday night to a chilly Abbeyard, so was very happy to see the sun in the morning and clear blue skies.  A late start to the day but eventually all were ready and we rolled out of Abbeyard.  Along the road a bit and then up Lake Cobbler track.  Conditions were perfect with moist tracks providing excellent traction.  A couple of stops along the way to regroup and then we were at the helipad with views over the range towards Hotham and Buller.

Down again and eventually we reached Lake Cobbler.  A short stop then we back tracked to the helipad before heading to Worseldine track.  A brief stop at the top then down to Abbeyard Rd and back to the property.

Time for refuel and a few mechanicals and then off again for an afternoon loop.  This time along Abbeyard Rd for some distance and then over the river and into the awesome climbs and descents of the high country.

Following Chris when he stopped with a flat rear, so soon had 4 or 5 of us working on it.  A new tube (the HD tube had split nearly right around) and back on the trail again, only to come across another pair hard at work on the KTM I think.  We travelled on as they said they were right, to join the rest of the group together with a couple of 4WD's resting at the top in about a foot and a half of snow.

Bit of a chilly wait but eventually all arrived and we set off again.  In and out of snow most of the day (did I say how much I was loving the grip heaters now).  Eventually we reach a river crossing, but the sun was getting lower.

We rode through one by one, with the XR taking a dip.  It was sorted out fairly quickly and we rode on to Camp Ck Track for the final section back to Abbeyard.

Making our way along the track it slowly got darker and darker.  We regrouped before the final descent to Camp Creek, with one bike having fun with a fading front brake down the hill.

Once at the creek Tim went through first to show the way, and one by one we followed.  Nearly all got through but there had to one that went in.  It was picked up out the river and pushed up to Abbeyard Rd.  While a rider was despatched to get car and trailer to retrieve the sodden bike it was decided we should at least tow it until meeting up.  Using a trusty TTR the bike was dragged back to Abbeyard before being set upon to get it back into life.  A task made easier by the surrounding peanut gallery of experts.

Tim then set about organising the cooking of dinner, after leading all day, which was an absolutely fantastic feed.  This was supported by a few drinks and some friendly banter.  Eventually folks drifted off to bed to get ready for the next day.
