I always appreciate when the weather man gets it wrong. Thats when it is in my favour of course. All week it was due to rain on Sunday, however after a foggy start it was clear sunshine for the entire day.
We started out with 16 hopefuls, to have a broken clutch bracket return one bike to the trailer before it was even started
. Ian turned up with a brand new KTM and a complete set of riding gear and managed to the first regroup before it gave up, fuel injection problem. If you read this Ian, perhaps you can let us know the outcome?
The recent rain did not let us down and some of the tracks were as slippery as ever, I know I felt myself sliding sideways on a few occasions, and a couple of the downhills left me in my normal state of panic. Mind you where the sun had dried the track a bit the great riding of the Triangle was evident.
The cake shop came and went, surprisingly not very busy for a Sunday, a couple of the riders went home early and the rest of us ventured across behind the pub. A few bog holes and more sliding around
, across the road and into the bottom of the Narby pine plantations and back to the cars at about 3.30.
A really good day, no injuries, no real breakdowns and a great time had by all, I think!
Thanks fella's for your continuing support.
The odd geriatric.
