As this was to be the second visit I thought that it would be a good idea to ramp up the intensity just a little bit, the morning loop was different to last time and left the Big Tower and headed out towards Stradbroke where there are some very interesting tracks to ride and as the group wasn't too large I opted to keep the ride flowing with minimal regroups,I took the red faces and big smiles at the first regroup that this was indeed a good idea,, the riding there is intense if you want it to be,.I did indicate that there would be an oppotunity for anyone who wanted to "get on it" that I would let them have their head and let them go,, only one taker for this -in the form of TJ on his new berg 300, he rounded me up not long before the pipeline on Old Rosedale Rd., After a quick regroup there, it was back towards the trailers via some interesting tracks first and then a chance to stretch the legs on some recently bulldozed access tracks the DSE have opened up in preparation for fuel reduction burns next Autumn,, these tracks are more like drag strips and a welcome break from the woops we had ridden earlier, a quick zip down a great unused 4wd track to a new "interesting" track that I discovered only a couple of weeks ago, now this little track was a hoot- a few smallish logs to jump and a litlle dip through a gully made this an absolute pleasure to ride and it popped out only a hundred metres or so from the trailers, so that was it, the morning loop over Sad,   lunch and a rehydrate  and a farewell to Con and TJ who had prior arrangements. I modified the afternoon loop, which was in essence Bob's level 1 loop in reverse but with a bit more pace Cheesy, a little bit too much pace for me- suffice to say that my 100% record for falling off is still intact,, little bit of skin off but it will grow back..
  Big thanks to Con, Clarky,and Gary for sharing the tailman duties,  also a thankyou to those that came for a look at my backyard, it is an interesting place to ride...
             got to love dirtbike riding hey  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Thanks Johnny for a well run day and a top bunch of people to spend a day of the weekend with. A great place to ride and fun for all. Dunno what happened to me in the morning - just too slow - but found my Mojo in the afternoon and loved it. I will be back for a ride in your backyard again if that's OK. I had not ridden there before as I thought it was like a 4 hour drive but 1.5 hours to Traralgon and then about 40 mins to the car park - no big deal for the amount of fun to be had.

Absolute top ride Johnny!! Grin Grin The small group made the day flow so effortless and no wingding. The morning loop was perfect down to every detail and red faces on everyone from smiling or whoops? TJ was a hoot to watch for the seconds you could before he disappeared. His stamina is a bit soft though? Tongue I had a great day on the bike and even managed to fit in a good high speed crash as well. I know what people are thinking, Al, high speed? But I can ride quickly when I want. And whilst chasing down Zeb through a very whoop narrow trail, looking for an overtaking spot or a mistake by Zeb. I was lucky enough to get both! As Zeb pulled up a little short on a whoop, I had just committed to double the same set down the left of Zeb. Where I found the brake a little less responsive than I would have liked in the air, and had to flick the bike sideways in the air to avoid hitting Zeb. All of which resulted in myself eating sand and an impact good enough to leave a matching pair of neck brace bruises on both collar bones. At lunch I was going to man up and step up to Bob’s afternoon loop as I had removed a few teeth from the rear sprocket, stretched the chain, was sore and emotional. Got to go out again in the arvo for a look for Bob ride, which was a hoot with only five of us and plenty of pace on board. The new track of Johnny’s back to the cars was just HEAVEN and had a ball in my element. Thanks Johnny for the day and to our tail men for the day, I had a ball. Anyone who pulled the pin on the day, SUCK POO!!!!!

Sorry Al those woops are sill a mistery just when you think you got it flowin bang one pops up that just dont wsnna play ball .... only one word for them bloody woops is bastards.

Thanks johny great work with a nice bunch of blokes to boot  , 3 of my last 4 rides have been at woodside and it just never gets boring , hope the forearm is OK soon.

All my fault mate, i was doing the over taking Shocked
I should have waited longer, rather than putting us both at risk. Woops are hard work until you learn them, then they are just good fun.

Yes my move would be a "Whip" and yes i can teach you. However, i would recomend you find someone else to teach you the landing!! Mine was very ugly and could do with some improvement.

Softened my front and rear suspension by 2 clicks and it made a big difference on the tight stuff, on the morning loop I clipped a tree with my left handle bar and come off in a big way ending up with a big bruise on my side and a few sore ribs as I hit the bars on the way through on the plus side the sand was nice and soft to land on, go Whoopside !

Softened my front and rear suspension by 2 clicks and it made a big difference on the tight stuff, on the morning loop I clipped a tree with my left handle bar and come off in a big way ending up with a big bruise on my side and a few sore ribs as I hit the bars on the way through on the plus side the sand was nice and soft to land on, go Whoopside !

WTF....You seem to be falling off a lot lately....does this mean you won't be riding for another month Wink Wink

Still pissed I could not make this ride but have to spend time with the family at soem stage.

 Smiley :)thanks for the nice words about the ride,, woopside indeed Cheesy,  my forearm is fine and just a sand graze  Embarrassed,, ..  I knew my rear sproket was on it's last legs going into this ride and would need replacing before riding again, but I got a bit of a shock on Sunday morning as i was going over mine and Bob's bike before we went out again and low and behold two teeth snapped off, the rest of the sprocket is admittedly worn but still looked like it had a few more rides in it -( I would have replaced it with the rear one though and kept it in my bumbag as an emergency spare), anyway, this put paid to our Sunday's riding and we were home by 11.00 am,  . Bob and I didn't know what to do, so out came the cobwebbed 525 and our driveway became our riding ground for the afternoon- take that toothless sprocket Wink

Thanks for a great ride Johnny and all who participated, what a work out with a morning average of 200 WPM's (Whoops Per Minute) it was a busy time on the bike before lunch. After lunch a bit cuisier , faster and hanging it out in the sand and even got to use 4th , 5th and 6th gears. Those who missed out missed out big. Great ride, in a year or so when Ive recovered I may return.

There seems to be a bit of theme running here -WOOPSIDE,WPM.
 anybody would think there was woop or two out there  Cheesy Grin Grin   ,, Am pleased to read and hear you all had fun as did I..    Hmmmmmm is that Woopside I hear calling Wink,  maybe another visit is required in the not too distant future,maybe 2015 or 2017 Shocked,  how about after Christmas and New Year and all that stuff that spoils good bike riding time Smiley.
