Having done most of the stuff close to Melbourne and having had enough of the rocks in the high country for the time being. I was looking for something different.
Luke and Kelvyn had been prattling on about how I should go to Stradbroke with Kelvyn and how I'd like it as it was more complex riding that gave you a really good workout.
Somehow I let the guys talk me into it.
The pigeon pair. Orange and white.
The powerstation is an impressive sight.
We geared up.
For once the biggest girl on the ride was female!
5km in and I'm knackered. Where is Kelvyn and Dora.
Here they are!
Stopping at the swamp. The mossies ate us alive.
Damn! it's dusty and hot.
Kelyvn - you better have a pina colada on ice in that bag.
This was the most challenging ride I have done for a long time. Half of the ride was whooped out sandy narrow tracks that seemed to criss cross the scrub. The other half was sandy (slightly) wider and less whooped out trackes that criss crossed the scrub.
If this ride makes it on to the calendar give it a go. It's great fun and a great work out.
