OK THIS VIDEO NOW WORKS!

Second part. Sorry there was not as much usable footage as I would have liked to make some better videos!  NEXT TIME!!!!

What a day! Awsum weather saw our little group of intrepid riders meet at three bridges.
Nice to meet some more AMTRA blokes. All great guys and apparently up for sum fun.

The ride saw us travel what seemed like 200 feet before our first hill. A fresh fire grade of soft red soil over rock & strewn with some patches of red ice! .

All of us ripped up the first & this wetted our appetite for more. A cornerman mistake saw a few of enjoy a jaunt up a dirt road. But we worked out the problem & returned to get on with some more trails.

The ride moved nicely for most, a patch of sticky red crap saw an excellent superman impersonation. No damage but it took three of us to unglue the front wheel.

The temp was around 24 deg now and we were all sweating. A little loop around some country homes and we broke onto a large uphill that had seen much better days! Hahaha this one made us all think about lines. Nathan on his Husky picked a great line towards the top. Mine found me sitting on a big rock followed by Daz Smith ( picture perfect formation)

While being a bit of work, this hill saw all the guys through, with some smiles at the end for being able to get all the way through.

SOme mountain bikers know to Chris on the RMZ were using the other end of this track as part of their down hill, latter in the day were found out one of these mountain bike guys perfected the superman impersonation we had tried earlier to emulate.

From here we picked one of nice single tracks local to the area. It was hot, slippery & a challenge for all of us. Some smart riders actually liked it! LOL some said they enjoyed the work out.....at this time I would mention George on the Honda. He was concerned at the start that he was going to slow us down. He worked bloody hard on all the tracks and after picking up a couple of tips, he applied them straight away and started handling some hills that were able to stop nearly everyone. Well done mate you earned that beer! LOL

This was the close to the mornings ride, due to the warm weather & some sore ribs after clearing the track........( David sore ribs McLeod..) We decided to transport straight back to lunch rather than continuing on some more hills.

Lunch was the usually assortment of tall tales, what ifs etc. But at least the lunch was earned. Most of the group decided to call the day quits so a few beers were passed around those who wouldnt be riding a second loop.

After lunch & goodbyes the remaining 4 of us headed into private property where many enduro events are held. A recent event saw tracks cleared & arrows up so it was open her up and head out for a blast. By now I was feeling less than fresh, so Chris on the RMZ, Luke on the KX & Nathan on the brand new Huskey showed me a clean set of heals. When I post up some video you will see how NOT to handle a front wheel washout LOL

We started heading out to some more large hills when Chris's RMZ showed some oil leakage around a bolt, unable to be repaired properly in the bush we decided to cruise back.......well at least until we found a nice up hill with flowing water bars....Hehehe.

The day finished well. I know I enjoyed my ride & the company of all those who came along. I look forward to catching up with everyone on the next ride.

Video up as soon as I put it together!

Cheers Pete

Pete Chris and Luke tell ya what today was a extremley BLOODY tough ride for a few of us , we tackled Clubman hills , single trail ( dissused 4WD Tracks ) that were tough enough without the rock covered steep inclines that appeared just when you could not take any more , steep hillclimbs that required excellent line selection first time or you new you were in for a half an hour of blood sweet and tears but we all made it , we survived and we will all be better for it next week ....  GREAT ride boys Thanks for posting it and having ME , Dave and DAZ along. making that hill on the last single in the morning will stay in my mind as a favourite riding memory to quite a while YEE HAA lets do it again soon ( PLEASE )

PS We cured Davos ribs with a 4 pack of wild turkey and cokes on the way home ....  He'z a tough bastard he'll bounce back quickly ,his bigest disapointment was not being able to ride the arvo .

Hey Zeb,
Yea mate sorry about my grading of some of the tracks, its what we ride all the time because its local. I did try to sort out AMTRA ride grades but because I'm only new its a bit hard. I reckon I have it sussed now.

Good news you all enjoyed the day. Nice picks too.....the beached husky & KLX are a laugh.

Every one is welcome to come another loop or 2 when we head out soon, with Chris waiting on the birth of his twins he will possibly not be riding for a little while. But he can use that time to do a ring in his Suzuki! LOL But I know Luke & I will be heading out on the other southern ranges for some different tracks soon.

Cheers Pete

Nice work Peter - thanks heaps for the opportunty to join you guys on the ride. I learnt heaps from you and the others. Chris, Luke and yourself are true gentlemen on the trails..

There were some very hairy sections and it was awesome to see how some of you guys handled these (Chris and Nathan - absolute weapons on two-wheels! Bloody inspiring...)

Great to meet the crew also - Zeb, Daz, Dave, Armando. Terrific bunch. I took away something from everyone on Saturday.

Thanks again.

George

Yea Zeb,
we only have limited access to them, but when your riding & feeling fresh they are great. As I said the other guys left me eating dust in the arvo session. LOL cant use dust as an excuse for my sleeping session while following them as it was a wet bit of track I had the front wheel wash out on.   hahaha at least I dont profess to be perfect. From what Chris told me , Luke, Nathan & he had a great run through these tracks. It was much longer than the video footage. Just ran short of video footage

Cheers pete
