19 riders attended. Most seem to have aggod day.We did quite a bit of ST. Did not get many Kays done for the day. I only think we did about 20km before lunch. Lots of puddles, a few deep bog holes and lots of greasy logs. I was leading the ride so missed most of the action. I think a DRZ took a spill on a steep down hill in the morning and customised his gear lever. Just before lunch found some wild ST with 3 quite steep gullys. I struggled a little myself on the last at it was quite slick. I then parked my bike and went back to lend a hand. Most of the guys did really well, with only a couple needing a small push up the last hill. We were held up here for a short time as the tailman repaired a flat. Then it was back to the cars for a refuel if needed and lunch. No pub this time.Sad
After lunch we came accross a group of horse riders out for a trail ride. We crawled past as quietly as we could and they did not seem to be unhappy with our presence, giving a quick wave. We the came accross a young guy in a Land Cruiser seriosly bogged in a whole. We tried to push him out with no result. So we carried on leaving him there. It was then a bit of a transport down the road to find some more tracks. It was quite cool at this point. So after a nice fast flowing track it was time for a bit more ST to warm up again. By this time it was getting on a bit and a couple of guys had to head off, so I left the main group to show them a way out. On My return they were having another go at fixing the same tyre they were when I left. Practice makes perfect. Now it was about 3.00 or 3.30 so I decided not to push my luck much more and headed for the cars after a couple more slick tracks.
We probably only did about 60 or 70 for the whole day, but most seemed pretty pleased with it.
We had 2009 TM 300 on this ride and I'm in love. What a piece of eye and ear candy.Sex on blue wheels.
