Met up with 5 other riders at the carpark about 8:30 and we headed off just after 9, meant to go one way and went another, doesn't matter no-one else noticed.

Found some of the old tracks were a bit different with lots of trees down across them which made for some fun detours and never going straight for too long either. Still bit rutted out but good fun tracks.

Made our way around the forest to the loop track, then headed out to the hill. Well this has trees down and ruts and rocks and has got a bit tricky. Three of them made it up the side track although sounded like one was felling a few more trees as they went. With Paul on the big DR650 looking like it was going to be handful and Darren having a nice dismount on his attempt I yelled up the hill to meet at the next intersection and we went went around. OK I didn't get up the main hill either but never had a go at the side track.

Few more tracks after meeting up and we started to head back, after a little play on a jump and a challenge hill (also resulting in some entertaining dismounts).

After lunch we headed out less one rider (Steve decided to head home early) and after some sliding down rocks I thought we should head over to the loop again. Well the track there has gotten a lot rockier, and had one pinch that was proving difficult. With Phil having a small off and knotting up a calf muscle we took the easier way around and then started to loop back to the cars.

One more loop I thought, but oops wrong turn again so after a while just stopped and reversed. Got back to the cars a bit after 3:30 and everyone had a smile so all good. Think we did 60, maybe 70, k's for the day - felt like more but a good day out.

Not a level 1 place any more but still good for a level 2. So look out for another ride there in a couple of months.

Top ride Mat.
The loamy soil conditions fantastic during the wetter time of year. With the terrain mostly technical riding but not hard.
Mat looping his bike at the rock ledge provided some extra entertainment and not forgetting Phil getting bucked sideways off his bike pivotting off the top of his helmet and landing on his side. Thankfully he was okay,it certainly looked impressive. Paul rode well on his DR650 with no mishaps however a full days ride was too much, understandable.
Lunch for Phil was more a picnic with the cooker out and the smell of snags and onions permeating throughout the forest.Everyone relished the feast.
A very enjoyable level 2 ride. Thanks Mat.
