Title: Rob's Big River Ride 17th August 2013
Post by: simonj on August 18, 2013, 11,04:04 PM
Another ripper of a day of jungle commando training up at Big River... Rob took his 7 victims through every swollen creek, mud hole and dark rutted overgrown 4wd track he could find. Throw in some slippery logs always on an angle towards the dropoff on the side of the track, and some great climbs and you've got the sort of day that just has to make you a better rider. The amazing thing is we were never more than about 15 km from the cars - so it was back to the cars for lunch, and a change of socks (fat lot of good that did...) and then a few new tracks and some of the morning ones in reverse, plus a bit of faster stuff... Thanks Rob and the tailmen for a great day, a good safe ride, great bunch to ride with and fantastic trails. Also welcome to Darren on the RMX, first ride for how long??? No shortage of bike skills Darren, see you on the next ride...! Now to deal with the pile of wet smelly riding gear that's still in the back of my car...
