Gidday All,
Since there are no rides on for me at the moment, I thought I'd do my own & I dragged out XDIRTX Fred & my mate 'Bob The Builder' (on his XE650),on a leisurely adventure ride around the backlots of Walhalla today. What a grouse day we had... Abit cooler in the hills, plenty of stops to eat & drink, plenty of cruisy bits, minimal ruts, plenty of river crossings & whoops and no O.M.F.G. moments...yes, my perfect ride.. Wink
Here are some pics from my day & cop this, I rode across the Thompson River at Brunton's Bridge without falling in the drink Grin
All that I need is a good tailman & you never know, I might organise a REAL easy ride one day Roll Eyes
Cheers,
Marls
ps.. for the record, there were 2 challenge hills to keep us honest Lips sealed

Good stuff, Marls.

Another ride leader in the making!  Let me know when, and I'll tail for ya!  We might even get the chance to have that Chardy!

Howdy all,

Rat...LOL ; Marlhalla...what a cracker! Grin That would be a good name for a bottle of wine!..You're a legend...

Chrism...yeh, really nice place to ride & the swim in the river topped off the day! All sorts of suprises lurking in them bushes..bit more level 2 stuff as well, but managed it, sort of...A bit of forest road stuff in between trails, so very cruisy.

Serge...Don't know about lead rider, i'm not exactly the speed queen, but I'll remember your offer; I could keep you company at the back & you can assist when needed (you'll need to speak to previous tailman on rides I have been on Lips sealed)..We could nominate Fred to lead!...oh yeh, I'll bring the chardy Cheesy...I'd reckon you'd need it!

DanJ...would you really? We haven't ridden together since the 'Welcome Back Pete's' Eildon ride. Still can't believe you did the legendary Donalds Track, from what i've heard about it Shocked...You could have a nap on this ride Wink

Mr Wiggy...Yes, I reckon you'd recognise all of this...finally conquered the big Thompson river!... We must explore the other side of the river soon. I believe you're the master of this region?

Sounds like a plan... Cool

Hey Marls,

Yea I still can't believe I did the Donald Track on my first ever ride either.  However I've been practicing a lot around Neerim Sth with Steve Wiseman the last few months and the downhills don't scare me so much anymore, so I'd like to give the Donald Track another go one day soon.  I did a Level 2 with Will and Fred the other week and managed to keep up with the pace and dropped the bike less then others so I was happy about that  Grin, I didn't think i'd be venturing onto a Level 2 ride so soon.

But yea I'd come on one of your rides for sure, some rides need to be about exploring a new area and taking in the scenary and some rides are for tearing around flat out and pushing your limits.  I've always wanted to explorer Walhalla.  I'll keep an eye out in the calendar for your ride post.

I'm hoping to come to the club meeting this Wed night so hope to catch up with everyone there.  Dan
