Title: AMTRA Chrissy Party camping and kids ride weekend
Post by: Willbar on December 19, 2010, 07,23:13 AM
What a great weekend was had by all. It was great to catch up with our AMTRA friends and it was a shame that more could not make it. Since Hamish and I was having to leave early on Sunday morning for a important family function we decided to leave at 6am Saturday to make the most of the weekend.
We met Frankie in Bulleen and frankie lead and we tailed all the way to Corop. Frankie gots us a little lost in Corop but we soon worked out where we were going and arrived at Alex's  farm around 9.30am.
As Alex had not put any signs out at that stage Frankie went and parked his trailer at the front gate and put a loop arrow up at the intersection turn.
Hame and I got the camp set up and the fire going and soon after Rob and the Hobitt and Luke arrived, with Serge soon after. I went for a ride up the road were I found Darren to be lost so I gave him some directions.
Once back at camp I found the kids to be already cutting Alex's planned track in  and myself Serge and Frankie soon joined inn.
Alex arrived soon after with a loader full of attachments and before long was building jumps for the little kids and the big kids to use.
By this stage some of Alex's friends arrived and joined in on the fun. It was great to see Phill Randall turn up for some social time about then as well.
Alex then decided that he should ring Ross Tyler in Shep and not to long later he turned up with his clan for dinner.
Alex took a leaf out of Pats book and cooked us all so much Pizza and Garlic bread it was hard to move of our seats.
As usual there was lots of laughs and some great socialising.
We were all up about 8am Sunday morning and Phill and Alex came back to visit us, Hame and I had breaky and packed and left at 10.15am with the kids going around and up and over the jumps like professional racers in the making.
it was just awesome to see the kids improve so much in just one day, and talking with Alex we would love to do it again including a level 1 training at the same time. A big thanks to Alex and his wife for putting the weekend on and for the yummy tucker and of coarse to the club for the chocky stockings and to every one who attended, and helped this event be a success, also a big thank you. Will

Thanx Will,

And thanks for organizing the weekend.

I took my new $89 video camera there and shot some footage.  Unfortunately, I don't know how to use it yet, and all I did was shot a whole lot of nothing!  The only person who will be happy with this will be Doug, cos it means that I no longer have footage of his stack!

I've got some pics I'll post up when I get a chance.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year Stew. Yea it came from a top ozinus, its an ace shirt, one of a kind down under. Every one had a great weekend, especially me and my 125kgs running around on Hames RM85 small wheel, its like a BMX on steriods. It's the short of bike that you can steer from the rear with the front wheel off the ground, wish I was a kid again, and I could ride this sort of bike all the time. Will
