What a day on the bikes. We met at 8.20am and drove to the parking spot about 11klms away on the dirt.
A quick meet and greet for everyone and about 9.15ish we hit the trails. The first was to ride what we had already cleared on the first massacre and fix any issues. Both my self and Bob managed to cross rut the same puddle and both visited the mud, nice to get it out the way early on.
We then did a nice Level 2 plus loop on the sth side of Tanjil Bren with only some minor trimmings needed. It was nice to here that Bob did most of this loop without the need of assistance other than some kind words from Uncle Phil, I think it was something like suck it up Princess and get back on your Feckin bike, but Im sure Bob will fill us in on what was really said.
We then looped back to the cars for a bite of morning tea, wheres all these trees you need cutting I could here the team asking, patience you lot we will find some.
We then checked some other trails and then managed to find our way to the overgrown trail we cleared on the 2nd Massacre so we re rode that and fixed some minor trimmings, the trails were starting to get harder but again Bob did most of it un assisted .
We then found the very overgrown clubman trail which we had to give up clearing last time due to bad weather, this time this sucker was not beating us and we finished it, Bob needed a little more assistance on this one but that was expected as it is well rutted this trail.
As I suspected it was part of the other overgrown trail loop so we ended up back at the river then we headed to Baw Baw and back down some other trails which needed rechecking.
We managed around 100 to 120klm and got back to the cars about 5pm.
Let me tell you I am buggered, my knee hurts , my back hurts, Im knackered but what an ace day on the bikes with another great bunch of AMTRA members.
And yes Wendy can fly as does her bike which Johnny showed us in one rut.
Thanks to all who came along and helped out where needed, Till next time Will.

Whoa...Doesnt' Tanjil offer some interesting stuff..The day started at bit after 9 - once we had all met up and Will told us what the go was for the day- although it was probably more me nagging him to know exactly what I was in for..but alas we were on our way...the first slippery hill we came to was a little challenging for me but thats ok , I had the wonderful Phil Randle right behind who talked me through dead engine-ing it down the hill and using my clutch as a brake...so got to practice that a bit...was good. And yes...didnt I come undone in the same puddle Will did...Phil picked me up, dusted me off and we were away again. There was some terrific tracks out there where I just ticked along beautifully, and others where I just said "Are you serious!!"...Confession..I did have a bit of a cry..(not alot..Al Mason wasnt there with the tissues for me, so had to hold them back Smiley) and Phil basically did say suck it up princess..and the actual words I think were "This is no place for whimps"...so not softly goes it for Bob anymore...theyre getting harder on me!!!!..Some of those bogholes are huge..and though I got through most , slowly but surely, a couple of them were a bit much ...so between the all the guys (except Will  Grin)...they took turns at helping me, wether it was talking me through it or taking my bike for me. That clubman hill that Will mentioned...that was horrible and even Phil Randle couldnt do that one...Johnny D came to the rescue there for both of us..so I feel better knowing im not the only one that couldnt do it. We had stops and starts as the guys had to clear the tracks....I just sat at the back and either socialised with whoever was with me or filed my nails  Grin.. (joking!!)..But the day was fun...a few spills for me and after the 3rd off, Phil told me thats it...no more..I wasnt allowed to fall off anymore...funny, I didnt have any falls after that!.We ended up at Caringal Scout Camp where Johnny and I got married just under a year ago..so that was nice..then hop footed back to the cars. I must say in the last hour or so, i was over it...i just wanted off the bike, I was tired, sore, well and truly over bog holes...but I still had a smile on my dial..and thats what counts ha.
So all in all a great day had and some of what we set out to do was done aswell. This is going to be a great loop once we can get through it all.
So Thanks a bunch to you all:
Phil, for being my morning tail and my guiding force. And yes princess is sucking it up..Wendy rocks Smiley). Thank you my freind.

Johny Lay for being afternoon tail, and for getting me out of a jam or 2. Cheers.

Gerry, for looking out for me here and there and checking I was ok.
Will Munro...for all that you did, for all that you said and for the hug...i needed it (even though i was cursin ya). Thanks for the whole day  Grin

And my husband...Johnny D , who also tailed in the afternoon and let John Lay have a squirt..Thanks darlin, sorry for yelling at ya..sorry for the tears. Thanks for helping me, again and for being there to encourage and guide.

I had a terrific day, challenging, fun, different and more chances to practice my skills.

See you all next time... Love Bob..or whatever name you wanna call me now  Grin

Had a great day, there certainly are some great tracks to be found here, I'm sure once all the effort of opening up the tracks is done it will be paid back in spades , with the mix of terrain there will be areas to suit everyone..oh and there are some awesome camping spots on the Tyers river too --hmmmm a weekend of bikes and camping methinks Grin
Must once again take my hat off to Bob for stepping out of her comfort zone and having a go.

Yo Wilbur, you should get one of these !
I saw that on there site today as well, got me thinking, but then I would probably take the saw on every ride then there would be no challendges left out there.
You should see Phill Randle with a saw, Ive seen him turn clubman tracks into level 1 tracks and beyond.

Bob for being persistant and making it through the hole day , i know from lack of experance it isnt easy when you get tired and Gerry thank you for the coffee's and last of all Gerry for keeping me awake on the way home and spotting me as arvo tail man cause even he can fall off from time to time
