Great bunch of people to be riding with on a day which started out near minus on the temp gauge and turned out to be a Sunny Sunday around 15 degrees, fantanstic riding day.
I had a great day and even though Marls broke her bike and one small hold up with Hiener's rear wheel we did tracks today which I had not done before, had a great attendance considering know one wanted to attend an old farts ride.
We did around 70klms for the morning which was prety good considering we lost around 1 hr whilst sorting out Marls and Hiener but missed out on the realy good hills but enjoyed some open trails, closed trails and some great bog holes which Marls really enjoyed now she knows how to swim.
Lunch was great and the bench racing was tops, a really good social arvo in the Pub.

Thanks for putting the ride on a Sunday Will. Made it easier for me to get there. Had a great day however it was a bit cold to start with.
Great company and lunch at the pub was good also.

Yeah, thanx Will-I-am,

I had a blast.  Cold start, but opened to a perfect riding day.  Unfortunately for Ian, (and Fred and Geoff) his ride was cut a little short because of towing Marl's dead Sherco back to the cars, but all was forgiven when we got to the pub.

Marls did promise to buy the first round of drinks, but somehow avoided it.  No problems, we'll get her next time.

Thanks to all those who got involved.  This Pubman ride is gaining momentum!

Gidday all,
First & foremost, huge big thanks to Will for putting on today's great ride... Old Farts legend ride which you MUST put on again so we can do those munster hills we all missed...anyway...
As dawn was breaking & birds were coming into song & while every other spring chicken AMTRA member was still in bed, me & Mr Frogman were already on our way to get to Neerim South for the first & inaugral 'AMTRA Old Fart's Ride'. We were the first old farts to arrive just a bit after 7am & following in shortly after by another anxious old fart Mr Rossi in his boots. Got our shizen together & did some practice laps of the carpark, while all the other old boys rolled up. I should have been a bit concerned, when I signed the attendance register & got #13...After a quick introductory speach by the guru, it was off & racing out the back track, which, in Will's own words, "Well head out the back, onto possibly the worst track for the morning, to warms you's all up"...Warm us up it did  Grin. I got stuck half way up a mf rutty hill climb & Frogman, who promised not to interfere with the tailmen, let them sort me out. Big thanks to Darren & Dr Brad for helping me out & sorry Darren if I showered you a bit with dirt, trying to ride out of the rut. All good in the end & no stacks...yet. Did some fantastic, fast flowing sandy tracks & roads & got air on my favourite mound on Sawdust.. Cool...all good fun...All was good, until, I decide to ride through a big bog hole, thinking it couldn't be that deep...well....I'll let the pictures tell the story, but had a nice bath, drowned the bike, snapped a bit on the a thingy to the fuel tank & it was all over, red rover  Cry Big thanks to Ian for towing Frogman on my bike back to base & Geoff for leading (I was tailwoman)  Lips sealed At least I got to ride the Gassa back, which he doesn't normally let me ride for some reason, don't know why Roll Eyes but wow, would love to take that ship through a few bog crossings!
Lunch was great at the pub & thankyou once again to everyone, for making it such a great day.
Here's some pictures of the ride...Until the next one Wink
Cheers,
Marls
ps...Peter R, I need more going around bog hole lessons  Embarrassed

Thought I had it nailed!

Another great ride with Amtra,I think I might have been the oldest rider there Cheesy after riding the slippery stuff last weekend, it made this ride a lot easier being more predictable not so slippery,I was having a ball, & here & there I might have come a bit close when passing, I'm sorry if I did get in your way, thanks Will for leading a great ride & organizing the  pub for lunch, & Brad for doing the sweep & the great company to make it an great day.

Where's the next ride?
