2 Frankie Reefman KTM350 Tailman
3 Darren Lynch Honda XR350
4 Peter D Yamaha WR250ZE

What a Feckin great day for a ride. It started for me at 5am when the alarm went off. I so could have just rolled over and went back to sleep, but dragged my sad ass out of bed about twenty minutes later and did all the usual morning things and hit the road about 6.50am and arrived at the Neerim Sth carpark just after 7.30am to be met by the other 3 chewing at the bit.
A quick unload and dress up and we were off, the plan was to break into it a bit easy in the Pine plantation of Carrols Lane but before we new it we were doing some brown slippery clay hill climbs and bog holes etc but we all got up and down and through safely.
We eventually made our way to Latrobe rd were we visited Frankies track at 7mile creek track and found it was still as bad as ever so we uturned and headed back to extension track and followed onto stolls and up the clay to find Darren was stuck half way down. Peter went to his rescue and after not coming up quick enough Frankie and I headed down to see what was going on to find he had a flat from the big rocky section. He got the bike to the top were we all helped Darren in one way or another fix the flat.
Not to long and we were of and running again were we headed down to Paris and did some of my usual tracks in reverse and then to Bilston and Lizards and Sawdust and Whitelaw's and back to Carrol's were we found Darren had another flat rear after another rocky section. As we were close to the carpark we road back slowly and cleaned up were we met up with another AMTRA member and his mate so it was of to the Neerim Sth hotel for drinks and lunch. We arrived at the pub to find Teddle's there to meet up with us for lunch which was nice to catch up. It was a long lunch finishing around 3.30pm with some great socializing done bay all.
A big thanks to the 3 other guys who turned up on such a cold morning and made for another great ride on the XR lounge chair and to the other 3 who came to the pub for some bench racing. Will

Thanks for an enjoyable day guys. Those HTFU tracks look like they will awesome to ride next month!

It was great to get my ‘old favourite’ back out onto the trails after its extended period in the shed, and I had a blast getting around on a light-weight 2-stroke again.

Here's a shot of the crew at the unloading bay:

I met up with Darren & Ted at the BP sands road, the 3 of us left there after a nice hot coffee,we parted company with Ted at Neerim south, as he was going on Zebs ride, he said that he would meet up with us for lunch which he did, when Darren & I arrived at the unloading area Peter was already there, not long after Will arrived, & in record time we were on the trails, a bit on the cold side, the faster ya went the colder ya got Grin I had goose bumps on my man boobs Grin so it called for a crusey ride until the sun came shining through the fog, the ride flowed very well with only 4 of us, we rode all over the place, it seemed like we covered all the tracks there.
The bike went well,it was wheel spinning every where, it was doing it in some places that made me realize that it wasn't wheel spinning, when I got towards the end off each gear reving like only a 2 stroke can, full load on the clutch found that the clutch was slipping, bugger, now I've got to dig up some clutch plates for my 1988 350 Kato.

Thanks Will for a great ride.
Great to ride with ya again Darren.
& you too Peter, good to meet ya, see you again on the next one.

Falling off doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop that does the damage.

Thanks Will for putting on another great ride.
You and Frankie covered the ride reports well and didn’t leave myself much to say but yes it was very cold to start. Well for me it was a day of flat tires with the first at that rocky hill at the 37 k mark and the next at 67 k and the last 3 wear very interesting doing 20 kmh with bike on full lock side ways all the way back to the car park Just spent hours trying to find hd tubes for the old girl, Got two on the way twice the weight as standard. Thank to Peter for the pick of the old girls all together and to all for helping out with the flat, I need to practice changing more as yes I did pinch the tube (ps Mat if you had come this time the laugh’s  were all on me this time two rear blow outs in just 70 k) Grin Grin Grin
