Thanks rat for your reply. I need to meet with a business colleague in Khancoban NSW. I was taking the opportunity to make the trip an adventure. I live at the southern end of the Morington peninsular and would like to ride my wr450 through the high country to Omeo and on to Khancoban. I am hoping for some advice on a route, were to get fuel and the like. Any advice will be appreciated.

Sounds like a great trip, how long are you planning on traveling for?

Your first part of the trip will have to be road as the peninsula doesn't have much in the way of dirt.

Your best bet is over at http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32

A lot of Vic guys on the site will know that part of the world very well.

And I would be taking both GPS and maps.  An EPIRB may not go astray depending on how remote you are going to go.
