I will have a crack.

First of all I had fun too.

We started at the carpark just near the pub at Eildon just after 9.  We had 30 starters from Eildon and met up with Nathan at Jamieson.

We headed straight to Mallett's Track and we were into it.  Was not too dusty in the morning and the wet weather had done us some favours.  It was a pretty uneventful morning and there were was only one bike that was having some fuel/starting problems and he opted for the tar back into Eildon and home.  Well done to Peter Monty and Seano for assisting and keeping the bike going as long as it did.

We got to the narrow track that is now referred to as BEN'S BRIDGE TRACK.  Everyone made it through this time and no River Troll was spotted.

After this we made our way up Newman's Track to Mt Terrible.  When we got there Seano noticed oil dripping from his air box.  Peter M thought it may have been the oil ring (Seano nearly passed out) and then it was decided there may have been too much oil in the bike after a recent service.  We then dropped down into Jamieson for fuel and headed across to the Kevington Hilton for lunch.  Great feed and nice beer garden.  There were no complaints about the food.

We headed back towards Jamieson and took Poletti's Track back up towards Mt Terrible and headed down Newman's Track back to the tar.  We then headed along some other tracks and Peter R punctured his rear on Dray's Track(??).  After a quick change it was pretty much decided to find the tar and head back into Eildon on it.

Got back to the cars around 5.30 after around 180klms.

Thanks Peter for putting the ride on, Seano for doing tail in the morning, Justin(??) tail in the arvo and everyone else on the ride  who made the ride run smoothly.

What a ripper of a day, first time for me riding around eildon area & would like to see more.
The ride starts nice & easy just as pete says at the start (easy flowing tracks ok any questions),then when you think ah this is a stroll in the park,he takes us into the depths of the jungle up some overgrown billy goat track.(He's been watching to much bear g on tv.)
Anyway due to his excellent bushman skills he manages to get us out onto the main tracks through some creek crossings & into jamo for gas, back out again to have lunch at kevington (beer garden cool & relaxing)then back to the cars.
Thanks peter fantastic Smiley :)your right i owe you some jb's.
Thanks to seano, justin & darren doing sweep/ & on the tail & to all the other riders, the corner man/women system worked well.

Addition to ride Report...

Well done to Phil Randall.  First big ride back after his broken leg and handled the distance and obstacles without too many problems.

Happy to see you back Phil.
