Woke up at Eildon Pleasure Palace around 7.00am friday morning, looked out the door,"FOGGY" this means beautiful day for a ride. Headed to the meeting place for an 8.30am departure, 8.30 past and a few were a bit late. 10 of us headed off it the fog for the trip to Rubicon, as we headed up the first hill (Mallets Trk) the fog dissapeared we did a righty into Jims Trk and onto the lookout which over looks Eildon and Thornton Area, we stopped there for 15 min to soak up the views. Back on the bikes and off to Rubicon Power station for an optional Hill Climb, this hill climb is around 2.5 k's long and most of it is about a 40 Degree Climb. I got 3/4the way up and there was Darren D hot on my heels, so as you do, i GASSES it on and rocked him to death. Not long after that i  got stuck in a rut and stopped , Darren D got to where i was and through it away in a steaming mess ,i then rode to the top and waited, and waited, no one turned up, so i took off down the hill to find bikes all over the place "WEAK". We all got back down and had a rest, Darren D & David P took the 570 for a spin, Darren D was Going to call Valley Force Husaberg as soon as they were open, and David P was blown away at the handling and power delivery, so i think he was a changed man as well. It was about 11.00am and with about an Hours ride back to the Pub, we would be there just in time for Lunch on the deck.
A couple of Adult Fizzy drinks and some BLESSED Chicken Parma(i don't eat fish)and for the rest Flahtead fillets and salad. Fred and David Petroff's family joined us for lunch and after that 4 pulled out , Serge decided he wanted to then head to Mt Terrible , so off we rode all 6 of us up to Mt Terrible. I took a Narrow track and at the end Phil gave me the, "NO MORE HARD SH!T, LOOK" i took Darren & Steve P down the next Narrow track from hell, and made them suffer, me included. The rest of the ride to Mt Terrible was a piece of Cake.
We sat around Mt Terrible Hut for a while, and realised we were all totally stuffed, and we should take the easy way back to the cars, so we did. Down Eildon - Jamieson Tar road we cruized, 30k's of tar n sore Butts we arrived at the Cars "thank God it was over" we all packed up and headed home.
PS: It took me 4 Min to get back to the Caravan Park "Sucked In".

Special Thanks to Phil Randall for going Tailman all day.

Yeah,

It was a very relaxing, cruzy ride.  The epitomy of a "Pubman" ride.  We started (near the pub), rode (to the pub) had lunch (at the pub), rode out (from the pub), and back to the car-park (near the pub)!

Going to Mt. terrible seemed like a good idea at the time, but after sooo many rocks, I realized the error of my ways.

Sorry!

Gidday All,
Thank's Pete once again for leading another epic pubman's ride & to such a great ride crew & tailman Phil.  Those hills are getting easier to handle, rocks & all...& yes Serge, I stood on the pegs heaps after you sprung me sitting down on the job!  Roll Eyes Riding in the fog was a bit eerie, but once that sun shone through, wow, some magnificant views. Only suprise for me for the day, was a crow that jumped out of the bushes in front of my bike & tried to dance tango with my front wheel Huh
Mmmm heading back 30k's on the tar..your not turning abit  girly Pete  Grin. Looking forward to the next one...Here's a few pics of the day
Cheers....Marls

Hey Pete,

Great ride! The Berg is one fine machine, seriously thinking about one for my garage. The hill challenge at Rubicon was certainly one to try again for next time. Have some more pics of the group for good measure.
