As i needed to do some Electrical Work at the Love Shack at Eildon on Saturday Arvo, i Decided to put on a Short Ride on Sunday Morning. AlWR & Darren D stayed Saturday night after we Attacked the Pub for Dinner and then took in the Sites around Eildon. We had Egg n Bacon Sangers for Breeky and drove up to the Meeting place, not long after the Boys turned up around 8.30am and we all decided to head for Jamieson for lunch.

So off we went down the usual tracks heading for Jamieson, 15 minutes into the ride i passed a Bridge Closed Sign, but wanted to see if we could get around it. There was no way we could cross, so we had to take another Route which added 30+ K's to the ride, the pace was nice an cruisy and decided to take in some Narrow track, but with heaps of Trees down we had problems finding parts of the Track, next thing we had a Corner Man problem and things went a bit hay wire for 30 min or so. Once we all Regrouped and a break it was off to Mt Terrible to see the sights and have another break. Ben's CRF did the usual Valve seat problem and needed to head back to the cars. After finally getting to the Pub at 12ish we ordered lunch, and some of the Guys Refuelled at the Servo, after lunch Rob,Shaun,Ben & Darcy took the 61k Tar Road back to the cars, the rest of us rolled into the Servo but Scotty had no Fuel in the Tanks as a couple of 4x4's ran him dry. So scotty rang Howqua Caravan Park to see if they had Fuel, which is around 12 k's out of Jamieson.
Adam, Ryan & Myself rode to the Caravan Park and refuelled while the rest of the boys sat in the shade at Jamo.

It was around 2.00pm and with Some of the Guys commenting on my short 60k morning ride, now over 80k's and still in Jamieson and a Minimum of 60k's back to the Cars, we needed to get going otherwise we might be getting home around 10.00pm. We took a few tracks but then took the Black top back to the Cars.

All up 169.0 k's on my Speedo, One CRF250 Knackered, no injuries and for me, no dust!!!

Thanks Al & Darren for the Saturday Night Laughs.
Darren For Doing tailman.
And thanks to all for a good ride and good Company,

PS: When riding with me, don't organise anything that ride night, as you may not be home till late. "60 or 169klms, it's still a short ride!!!

You know I dont like defending Peter but he put it to the group and we were all happy to do the ride so there was no real surprises.

Good cruzy ride Pete! Just spent the day handing back with David keeping him company and eating dust. Was good to see all those quick bloke from the morning, just die in the butt as the day progressed. It was a little hard core for the level 1's i thought with three river crossings! Some of our clubman rides wont even cross rivers? Had a good day just drifting round the pack. Cheers Al

Hey Pete, if you keep those leg over the shroud mono's up! I reckon you will make a clubman rider pretty soon? Was thinking of nominating you for most improved rider this year? How ever you told me you were already a gun! Keep it up Pete and you will get there soon. AL

well well well i thought a nice half day at eildon - 60k's he said,,,,, Huh - so after 100 and something it was back to the cars after lunch at the pub and the drive hoem to recover.  good ride as usual [thanks pete] and it proved again my fear of downhills whilst abating is still there largely i think because we werent going down hills - it was more like mountains.....oh well if all else fails walk it down!  thanks also to darren for spending a lot of time down the back and also to al [ditto] and the advice. just think only another 34 sleeps until it's on again....
