Haven't been out for a ride at Eildon for a while, so i thought as it's a sort of long Weekend i would put one on.
Everyone met at the usual spot just down from the Pub at around 8.0 am with a 9.07am start, it was a overcast day with Showers forecasted for the day, we headed off into the Bush an had to do a u turn not long after as there was a Massive tree down and was unpassable. Onto Jims Track and before we know it Sean (Tailman) was on the Radio calling me " Pete, we gotta flat tyre back here" with that i stopped and waited with a few riders for what seemed 2 Hrs. Tyre fixed and off we went rode again down to a Narrow trail that was put in for the Nolan Rally back in the 90's. There is a Small hand built Bridge that crosses a small Creek and it's about 3 Mtrs long and very well built. Ben came in a bit hard and managed to get on the bridge, but was unable to keep it on the Bridge and ride off the RHS, so in the creek he went, bike and all, he was OK and the boys lifted the Bike out and we continued riding to Mt Terrible.
The Weather had set in and the rain was coming down in showers, we got to Jamieson for lunch at around 1.00ish, with a few Meal orders stuffed up we got outta Jamieson around 2.30 "I Think", from memory John had another puncher and we made our way back to the Cars with only a few off's and no other Bike problems.
Seano took out his new "OLD" TE450 and thrashed the living hell out of it in the Arvo, he had been tail all morning but need to open the new Beast up and go Balistic.
We got back to the Cars probably around 5.30pm had a chat, packed up and everyone nicked off, Sean and i went to the Pub for Dinner and around to Greg's place "In Eildon" for some Beers, then back to my Joint for a Good Sleep. We woke at 5.50 am jumped in the Cars and Headed home.

Thanks Sean & Gerard for doing Tailman Duties.
Sean for his now Vast knowledge of Tyre changing.
Ken for rolling up at 8.50am.
Thanks Boys for a good day out, company and Laughs.
Hope everyone had a good day despite the pooty Weather.

Thanks for a good day out Pete and company. I nearly did a youi a couple of times on the way out , it was hissing down. Better keep going for a look see I s'pose. Well bugger me if it did'nt clear just out of Eildon and luckily Petes slightly earlier start was still about to happen when I pulled in. The boys got me bike off quick and I got me gear on pretty quick to only end up stalling the ride for 7 mins after planned kick off.
It was good to see Seano there and playing it safe with tail man duties, the Husky was looking good and Seano was smiling.
More new faces for me and it still feels good to be able to keep some of the young-uns behind - Ye Haa! Not that we were racing mind!!
I heard a bike behind me for a while before the bridge and then it went quiet? so thanks for the photos guys.
Drizzle on and off but not really cold and still managed to be kicking up a bit of dust occasionally and doesn't Eildon look good with lots of water in it.
171 ks in the big 'green' land - Grouse!! Congrats to Seano for a far more successful christening!
Bikes washed ready for an oil change and then a 'gentle' ride with Al at Fumina.

I got the call thursdy from byrners , yo seano com pick up ya bike and new bits . Spent a cupla hours or so puttin it back together fridy night/satdy mornin.Well the rest of satdy seemed to take forever but low and behold,I went to bed and next thing the alarms a ringin at 5 am . Quick feed and hitch the trailer on and I,m off to eildon.I arrived at 745 am ,call pete where are ya .At the shop gettin brecky.Bit o chit chat gear up with my new cb radio .ken arrives in a nick of time ,get his bike off while he gears up and we're ready to go.I decide to do tail to give me a chance to feel out this new beast with out distraction this time.So off we head into the hills of Eildon.first little delema justin,s lost his fender bag ,quick stap back on and we're off in no time .Short while later uh oh Johnys copped a rear flat, quick chat to Pedro on the new radio to let him know where we're at (how good are these for communiquae .Thanks to the wd 40 and spoons we got him sorted and we're off again,it flowed like clockwork for a coupla hours til johny was at it again .Fixed that one in the same manner as the last an we're off again not for long and we're into jamo for a fuel and feed.after lunch I decide a little longer at tail won't hurt so , we're off for round 2 only the one drama with ben deciding to give his bike a quick scrub in the creek ,mid afternoon gerrard says "ya wnna rest from tail and have a squirt Seano" he definately didn't have to ask twice thats for sure. With the monkey well and truly off the back by now ,lets see what this baby can do,watch out fella ,s comin through .Pete lined me up for really nice track Follow me was the call and the rest was a blurr.Yep she goes alright i recon.next thing I know we're back at the cars ,get changed ,off to Petes ,quick beer ,then to the pub $20 buffet yum yum ,around to gregs more beer and chatter,11pm off to bed for 6 am get up and sadly it,s all over and home I go.
Bloody big thanks to Pedro for the company and acomm, muchly appreciated .Thanks to Ken for the kind words and congrat on getn me bike back .tahnks to gerrard for the arvo tail and to the rest o the crew that made the day an enjoyable one CHEERS SEANO Grin Cheesy Wink
