As the weather has been a bit Average for the Last few months, it was good to see the sun Shining again and with a little Rain during the Week, made for a picture perfect riding Day.

Darren picked me up around 3.00pm Friday and we drove up to the Eildon Taj Majal, where we sat in the Sun and had a couple of Beers and threw Stones at the Local Rabbit Population, at 6.30 we drove to the Pub for Dinner and sat out on the Back deck over looking the Pondage " AH WHAT A LIFE".

A fella by the name of Tony H had joined our web site a few weeks ago, and is interested in joining the Club and wanted to check out a few rides. Tony had been riding for many years and was definitely no L1 Beginner rider, so i invited him up to the Taj Mahal to experience the AMTRA hospitality. Grin Grin.

Saturday quickly came around , and we had some Breakfast and Headed out to the Meeting Area ( 15 Mile). Darrens Nissan Ute had some Electrical problems on the way and stopped a couple of time, so up with the Bonnet and out with the Hammer.

9.30am came all to Quick, and we hit the Trail and straight into a Narrow Trail, for a bit of a warm up. Ted radioed that he had a busted Clutch Cable within Minutes of starting, so it was back to the Cars for Him.

We had a few issues within the first 1/2 Hr of leaving the car and with only 3.5 K's on the Speedo, i was forced to change the Route to the Quickest way to Jamieson.

It was a Beautiful Day and everyone sorted out their Position in the Pack and settled down for the Trip to Mt Terrible. It was a bit hazy at the top of The Mountain, but you could still see Snow on Mt Buller, which looks like about 30 K's as the Crow flies .

We all finally turned up to the Top of Mt Terrible, and another bike had Failed. Gerrard's Lemon (KTM) was running like a bag of SH!T, but still Running.
Ted was still in the Game but this time in the Car, he had decided not to go home, but was driving  to Kevington to have lunch with us, and Radioed to us on the way into Jamieson " Who Said there a waist of time".

We headed down Mt Terrible Track and onto Pollidies Track and was advised by Ted that there was 9 4WD's on the way up Pollidies Track. "AGAIN, Who said there a waist of time".
As i got to Jamieson - Kevington Rd, there was Ted Waiting on the Side of the road. Gerard thought all his Christmas's had come at once, as Ted had his 6 x 4 trailer and had room and Tie Downs to take Gerards bike back to 15 Mile, we loaded the Bike and they drove off to Kevington and we Headed to Jamieson for Fuel.

Once fuelled up, it's a 10-15 min ride on the Tar to  Kevington Pub, for a spectacular Lunch and a Beer in the Beer Garden.

There was a Chicken hanging around looking for a Free Feed, so i offered the chook a Chip and the Bastard snatched the Chip straight out of my hand, i said to everyone look " Chicken n Chips" I think the poor chook didn't realise he might become a chicken parma with Chips n Salad !!!

Everyone had a good feed, and it was back out into the great blue yonda and with Ted, Gerard, Freddo & Marls pulling out we were down to 17 riders.

I thought about heading out to Moonlight Track but with past experience i didn't wonna get back to the cars in the dark. So i headed back up Pollities and Mt Terrible track,we regrouped at Newmans and Mt Terrible track and were short 4 Riders who had taken the wrong turn atAlberkerky and were heading in the wrong direction.

I told John T to keep everyone together and i rode off to find the missing 4 Riders, 5-10 k's later after they had just kept going. I stopped and Radioed back to John that i hadn't found them, then all of a sudden i could hear them coming back, so i Radioed back to John to come and meet us.
AGAIN " Who Said there a waist of time".

After all riders had been accounted for , we were off again and descended down to Big River Rd and back onto the Tar to Dray Track. Ken decided to pull out and ride the 10 min to the Cars.

I took the Guys to a Beautiful downhill which winds down a mountain with a million Erosion Jumps probably about 3 Ks down, we took a break at the Creek and blasted back up the other side of the Mountain and back onto 15 Mile Rd.

It was getting late and i could see the pace of the Guys slowing Down " They had had enough" so i took them to some grouse tracks and back through the Narrow trails back to the Cars. I think we got back around 5.00.

Thanks Guys for a Great Day and heaps of Laughs, nothing like Hanging Sh!t on Each Other and pissing yourself in Laughter.
Also thanks to the 6 Wangaratta boys for coming down and making the ride a Laugh a Minute.

PS: Just got a Photo from Gerard  "Piston Rings Meltdown"

Thanks for the tour Pete, it was good. Pity I couldn't finish but my old shoulder wound was giving me the jimmy brits and with not being out for 5 months I thought it better to concede.

Finally got to ride with Marls and Freddo and nearly got another ride with old Birthday boy Ted who on the last count was going to get 4 new clutch cables.

Special thanks to Andrew and Stephen? who led on our 'exclusive special loop' that was only bought to a halt when we caught up to the 4WD's who informed us that no bikes had passed them, OOPS.

Apologies to any that were spooked by my exuberance on the black top, love it!!

When I pulled up back at the cars 2 bikes were leaving the parking area and Tonys Jeep rear RH door was open. With Marls, Freddo , Gerard and Ted still there I asked if they had seen anything happening. Gerard said he noticed the door open when he pulled up. We closed it and it locked, so hope all is well there Tony and maybe you just forgot to close it in your rush to get out and roost.

And I can recommend the "rebuilt after the fires" Tudor House Pancake shop in Narbethong. Ask for a coffee mug and you get a 2 mug size jug of good coffee plus a jug of hot water in case it's too strong. And if you are as lucky as I was, a very pleasant young lady to chat to plus 2 hot scones for the road. Get in quick cus if they keep that up they will be going broke.

It's the first time I've seen a flock that big. We had 3 guys in the club riding Postie bikes a few years back. They were young guns back then and would show most of us up at some stage or another. They raced each other all day and were great fun to watch if you could keep up with them, especially hard down hills.

Glad to hear all was well with the car.

Looking forward to a loop with the Wang boys.
