Great ride. Stand out tracks were Monument Track, Moonlight Track and German Spur. Good mix of tracks with nothing too hard and Rob did a great job making sure all was good for the small group of 5 riders that joined him.

Rob plans to run a few more rides in this area and highly recommend going on one if you have the chance.

All up it was around 150 kms and got back to the Big River campsite around 4:15, in time for Lefty to get away by 4:30 and get his night out.

I was stuffed yesterday, and not much better today.

Nigel needs a new hub for his Kato after the rear sprocket came adrift but we managed to get it back on so he finished the ride without any further drama. He got more confident with the fix as we got closer to the cars.

Great day out, one for heated hand grips in the morning and maybe at the end of the day too.

Can't add much more other than if you get the chance to do one of Rob's Big River to Woods Point rides, do so ! Grin

Well done Matt for starting the report off. I was a bit hesitant in putting my name down for this ride as I've never been to Big River or Woods Point. Mr Google said it was 2.15min from my place, for a 9.00am depart. Any hoo, I was running abit late and called Rob when I got to Warby and he and the others pulled over and waited. Lucky they did as I wouldnt have found the place. Headed off shortly after 9am and headed to Woods Point. As Mat said we headed up and down those tracks, great pace and some tuff up hills. Very much like the HCR and Mt Buller without the rocks. 94ks to Woods Point and lunch. The pub was booked out for Parma's with approx 30 other riders. So we settled for a pie and drink at the milk bar. After feeding the local chooks and a chin wag, we headed back. Now, I love to ride !!! But when the Mrs states "be back at 7pm for a dinner at 7.30, or else" I kindly asked Rob to be back on time. 58 ks on the return trip, via some snow spots and other riders, 4.35 return via a skinny single down hill and then through a small creek. Would love to go up that track next time Rob !!! Great day, and well done to those who took on the challenge. And Matt, made it home at 6.55. Shower and sitting down to a feed of Thai in Chelsea at 7.40. Magnificent !!!! 151.4 on my speedo. Cheers, and see you next time.

Love, Lefty.

PS. Heated hand grips, hells yeah !!!
