It all happened last night for me, when Serge sent me a PM "comin ridin tamorra?" that started the Ball rolling for a ride. I was going to take the Family for a drive up to Lake Eppalock, as it around 107% at the moment, but as we all know riding is the most important thing in life, "i can take them next Week".
I packed the Van last night and left Home at 5.45 am this morning, drove out to Stockmans Rewards but managed to get a little lost somewhere around Big River Rd, luckily Frankie and Sean blasted past at Million Miles an Hour, so a Quick u turn and i was hot on their trail.
I think we arrived around 8.00am, and not long after that the rest of the Boys rolled in, Will and i went looking for a Long Drop and found one in trees "Mate she stinks" i said to Will, as i entered the Dunny, and the rest you can imagine for yourself.
All 13 of us took of at around 9.00am and it was on, Anthony was on the Gas with everyone not far behind, i nearly managed to go over the Bars while Frankie was beside me , but didn't hit the deck. 30min later Jason had a bit of a problem with a Rear Axle Nut deciding to go it's own way, but lucky for Jason Frankie had a spare in his Tool Bag, meanwhile some bloke on a Wr450 was having problems with a Crunchie 4th Gear, so he headed back to the cars.
It felt like 11 o'clock and we had only covered 20 odd k's, but with all the problems sorted, we were off again and STOPPED Again, Anthony had a Flat Rear, talk about laugh changing a tyre, we all had a pisser of a time changing that tyre, so then it was off to Woodspoint for lunch, and having a ball riding some unreal tracks and some ripper hills, Sean Passed me on a big down hill with 100 Erosion Ruts, only cos he's a Trophy winner and a GIMP. Once in Woodspoint some of us Hit the Pub and some the General Store, after lunch we Refueled and Anthony took us to some Tracks that were so good that i just wanted more and more.
Will had a half decent get off and was suffering with Pain "HTFU Princess", i managed to slip around Frankie a few times and probably Rocked him on my departure,"sorry Frankie".

Tracks: Uuhaddockinbelievably grouse, not many bog holes, fast, some spots a bit damp, a few river Crossings. A tad hot at times, dust wasn't that bad.

Anthony put on a ride, that i would put high on my do again list.
If you haven't done this ride "DO IT" you will have a Ball.
Fantastic Job Anthony  10/10.
Thanks to all the Boys, for a Great ride and heaps of the  funny stuff!!!

SOLAR ECLIPSE REPORTED IN THE WOODS POINT - BIG RIVER REGION

Residents & campers in the Big River - Woods Point area of the Victorian High Country reported 2 momentary periods of darkness at approx 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
Bureau of Meteorology Staff could offer no explanation for this unpredicted cosmic event, however, one local camper described the event as :
"The sky just went dark real quick & I saw a large human shaped figure dressed in brightly coloured motorbike clothing, ...... looked a bit like Ronald McDonald......somersaulting through the sky. It just blocked out the sun !  Then it happened again when a big orange motorbike did the same thing. I thought I better ease up on smoking weed man ! "
Local trail riders partially confirmed the event when they located the above mentioned rider in brightly coloured riding gear sitting in the undergrowth with a dazed expression, & muttering to himself........ " My name is Wilbur & I can fly "

Nice account of what happened Grandpa, hold onto that memory, cause I think it should stay with you for the rest of your life, moments like that do not come along to often, most definatly not a moment I wish to relive, but I did have a little juckle after I relised that after my head hit the tree and although there was some pain I could move everything. Then of coarse, my own precious memories of the day, when Seano flipped his bike on the steep uphill in front of me and as I was committing to getting up the hill, I thought for sure I was going to be riding over the top of him as I had vision of him stepping into my line.
Then there was the very special moment, as Frankie and I were riding side by side following Pommy Mat, and watching Mat miss the corner, going of the trail and riding between to very large trees with only a hanble bar width between the two trees, Frankie and I were peeing ourselfs laughing, and low and behold the very next corner, Frankies does the same thing. I certainly had a top day, appart from my flying incident, and I must say I can not feel my sore joints cause my ribs and shoulder and color bone hurt too much to care aboutthe other pains. Thanks to everyone who stopped to help me, and I realy appreciated the laughter and account of what happened, I new I was fine when everyone was making fun of it. A big thanks to Anthony for putting on the ride, and our 3 tailman for the day, Mat, Steve and Seano, good onya fellas. Will

Thanks Anthony for a top ride mate, for me there wasn't much action, sounds like I wasn't in the right place at the right time Grin
yeah that was really funny when Matt ran wide on a corner just after getting passed Will & myself, maybe that had something to do with it Grin Will& I laughed that loud even I could hear him Grin
I won't mention I did the same thing on the next corner, oh did I just say that! spewing I missed Seano flip the bike on the hill, he was still laying on the ground when I went passed Grin
but what I did see was when PeterR came passed me on a water bar he was looking at his front wheel for some reason Huh & then he wanted the same bit of dirt I was set up for Cheesy all went well though.
Sorry I forgot your name on the Berg that lost his wheel nut & adjuster plate, he was lucky he found the adjuster plate, then more luck for him that I had a nut that fitted, that's the good thing riding with a good size group, there's always someone that has got something that you need when you break down.
The new bike went well, I just got to get back to riding a 2 stroker again Cheesy
Thanks everyone for a top day.

Must have been the day for spectacular ( but thankfully, injury free) crashes.............. Jason had a "I'll point my legs vertically, toward the sky" flying episode as well. But he didn't quite get to the stratospheric height of a flying Wilbur !

This ride was one of the best rides i've been on in years, and it's got me motivated to ride different areas and find similar trails.
Sorry boys if i went a bit silly at times, but the Brain was in psycho mode, and at times it was connected to the Throttle.

And to the Most Improved Rider Trophy winner "SEAN" your the Downhill Man.
