Title: Three Bridges Vinduro
Post by: Wade E on June 02, 2009, 09,34:57 AM
Hi all was the first vinduro held at Three Bridges near Yarra Junction on the weekend. The bikes have to be pre-85 trail or enduro bikes. The coarse was a 10km loop on private property, though the weather was sunny it was very slick for 2 laps but improved as 53 riders defined a dryer line. There many diferent makes and sizes of bikes on the day check out the pics.

Great pictures.

I would have loved to crack joke about how long ago that was but 1985 was the year I got my learners permit, hairspray was almost as big as the hair it created and Jeff Leisk did his last racing in Australia before heading to the USA. After 6 years of winning here the flying freckle from WA had nothing left to prove.

And a thing called the internet started in the USA with 6 computers being joined together. That a stupid idea that would never catch on is now the basis for of the new tech revolution.

Enough dribble....

The second Yammie looks a bit like it may have been the recipient of a few extra parts that may not have been on the shelf at a Yamaha dealer in 1985.
