I thought someone would have started a report by now, I'm not going to go into a full report, I just want to say that Phil put on a great ride, I reckon he is doing a awesome job putting on the rides he does, Thanks a lot Mate for a great day out on the bike. From what I saw every had a great day, so how about giving Phil a pat on his back for putting it on.

Great company always makes it a great day Grin

Thanks again Phil and tailmen, for a great day. As advertised, cruisy and laid back, perfect to ease back into riding... A couple of challenges, sunny weather, a good group and plenty of laughter. See you all next time! Cheers, Simon J.

After 7 months off the bike due to OS travel commitments this sounded like the ideal ride to get back into riding. It turned out to be a fabulous ride in near perfect weather. There were a few more than 30 entrants for the start at around 9am and we hit the wet, muddy tracks expecting it to be very slippery. Surprisingly there was a lot of traction as it had been wet enough to soften the hard clay. There was lots of soft mud and bog holes but generally with a firm base. A new rear tyre was certainly a good investment for the day. It turned a very good day into a great day of riding.

Phil added a few challenge sections while he lead others around a slightly easier route. Nothing was really hard but in the wet, muddy conditions tracks that are very easy in the dry do become a bit more of a challenge. For me it was all just a hell of a lot of fun, and this is what I associate with Phil's marysville rides.

Lunch at the Cake Shop in Marysville as usual was a good social occasion and the food is pretty good too. After lunch we headed back to the cars via 2 alternative routes, but again nothing really hard but lots of fun. Then around half of the group packed up and headed home while the rest went out again for another 25 km or so of fun. A challenging hill did catch a few out and the alternate track was not so easy either. We were back at the cars by around 4:30. We only did around 75 km for the day but it seemed to me that everyone like me had a great day. No injuries or significant offs, though many had minor issues with bikes lying down at times in the slippery conditions.

Thanks Phil and your helpers (tailmen and alternate ride leader for challenge sections)for a great day out on the trails.

Thanks Phil and the 30+ others for making it an enjoyable day. What a change this place has undertaken since the last ride there. A little rain and little sun turned it from a cruisy ride into something with a bit of challenge. My riding buddy on the day, who hadn't been on a bike for quite some years had a blast and is keen to have another go with AMTRA.
To the guys who bring up the rear and ensure that we all get back in one piece, thanks to you. To Phil who is patient and knows how to control the crowd, well done.

Ditto to the above... Couple of things I want to mention..Cant remember the last ride I went on that had 36 punters, good to catch up with some old and new faces. The weather was perfect and warm by lunch time, ride into Marysville was special as I haven't been there since the fires. Much better riding than south of the Highway as its not as slippery. The ride in the afternoon was fantastic and I just want to know what happened to AJASCROFT !!! Yazza was coming down to ride your steamy bike up champ.. Great day Phil, nice and cruisy. C ya next month...

Thanx Phil for a top day out ~!~

The weather gods where very kind to us. I had a great day. I have not been out to Marysville for many years .. infact I was still learning to ride last time I rode there almost 4 years ago!!

I watched some pretty funny stuff ... I did some pretty silly stuff ( getting stuck in the same bog hole TWICE !!! ) Thanx to the 2 guys on the KTM's and the dude on the yellow DRZ for helping me pluck out my bike ... it's dam heavy when it's stuck and my little girl arms can not lift it out Tongue

I get over and up the hard stuff but a bog hole always gets me .. and LEFTY Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy ( should I tell them mate ? ) ha ha ha ha .. I still laugh when I think about it !!

We watched a few steamers on the 2 loop hill ... A Berg and a Husky where perfect to make a hot coffee.

So thanx guys for putting up with my crazy blonde moments - you are all such a wonderful bunch  Kiss Kiss

I have some pics to post also.

Yazza ~!!~
