When not racing this is where we go most often. This farm is owned by some good friends, who love to ride.  I wont rave on too much. I will use photo's to tell most of the story..

My caravan, I have not towed it yet. More like a holiday home.

In case we need to move dirt.

Ah, my favourite. The single track Grin

Across the creek another 500 acres dedicated to single track. We are not riding over there at the moment as it is very wet.

The creek was over the banks flooded just a few weeks ago

Dont make a mistake here. 200mm to the left and you drop eight feet into the creek.

Dinner time. It is deer season at the moment. Etris went hunting at dusk. He was back 30 minutes later with this doe. Then 30 more minutes later we had it skinless, hind legs, front quarters, loins and rib meat in an esky.

Around the campfire, under the pavillion.

On Sunday James shows up to ride, he is one of the two co-owners.

James brought his Husaberg 450 and his 06 KTM 300xcw

That was a weekend away with my son. Always relaxing to be away from work..  I did not ride this weekend. Thats why so many pictures. Grin
I am trying to rest my wrist, which I thought I broke two weeks ago. Just badly sprained, hoping it will be ok for a race next Sunday..
Hope I didnt bore anyone..
If you want to come visit anytime. I can organise a ride no problem Grin

Thanks Marls, yes down around the creek it is sandy, it changes to black loam then red Georgia clay further from the creek. Good mix of riding conditions.

There's no doing things by halves in the US, I thought your van was big until I saw the other 2 at the camp site. Don't call the van a "holiday home" call it home & live in heaven full time !!!

I have a mate that lives in Wisconsin, and your property reminds me a lot of his place.  I suspect it looks spectacular in Fall (Autumn).

He, too is a mad deer hunter (shooter).  His missus bagged the first for the year, she hit a doe in the family car on the way home.  She backed up (to make sure the doe was dead) and ran over the (baby) dear that was following.  Score 2 for team human!

I spent a fair bit of time cruising around his property in his 6 wheel drive Polaris thingy.  My eldest daughter enjoyed that too!  So we made her the official beer fetching person!

Ah, the knowlege we impart on our children!

In this State when you buy land it belongs to YOU. Cheesy Especially in the country area's. Housing developments are a bit different.
It is about 1.5 hour drive NE of home.
