That was one way to spend grand final day and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My day started out smoothly with all the gear packed and bike on the tailer the night before so it’s just get up coffee shower and out the door. When I got to the meeting point thinking I was early with only three cars parked Will informs me that’s it every one else has pulled the pin  Cry, So Will led us all in to the unloading area With my bike of the trailer to find my new Battery has sh!! It self less than 5 weeks old and only 3 rides not happy so kick starting for the day it is. Angry Embarrassed
Once every one was geared up Will lead us of in to the unknown with the first stop a large tree across the track then it started tree after tree I will let the Photos tell the story here. Shocked Shocked Shocked
Looking forward to doing the loop without all the stopping and cutting, shame we only got the one loop clear.
Then after we had pulled the pin for the day and all packed up and heading home I came around a corner to find every one stoped and getting out there chain saws again you would not believe it but a large tree had fallen a cross the road so back to cutting and dragging logs again.
Thanks guys for a great day out on and off the bikes with chainsaws in hand.As I learnt a lot today as I have never used a chainsaw before today,I still can smell the two stroke and wood chips Grin
Thanks again Will, Phil and Declar for a top day out

The start of the jungle

Phil hard at work

first lot down

Will hard at work

then the fun begins

Phil puts us young blokes to shame his a trooper

Declar getting into it

Pick of me just to prove I was there Grin

It looks good when it all clear

The trees keeped on getting biger

and the tree stopping us from going home Wink

it was a great Tim the Toolman day, playing with tools and chainsaws and motor bike "urg". Thanks Darren for keeping teh saws sharp and fueled and oiled up and of coarse the photo evidence that we were actually out there doing what I said we would do. We had perfect weather whilst we were out there and when we arrived back at the cars at 1.30ish for lunch and it started to lightly rain. The only thing that stopped us was whilst we were having lunch it really started to rain so we made the decision to pull the pin and come back next saturday. Of coarse as soon as we were changed and bikes loaded the rain had eased and the skys were blue again. It was a great reminder when leaving and finding the only way out to be blocked by a tree that even though we had very little wind that the basterds just decide they can just lay down at any time and how handy it would be to carry a saw in the boot when ever you go bush. We could have been stuck there which would not of been much fun. I did have a lighter so we could of tryed to burn our way out. It was a little sad to of had so many pull outs but it was great to have another 3 blokes along who where happy to roll there sleaves up and get stuck in.

1, Will Munro Chainsaw 1
2, Mat Creasey Stuck at work all night
3, Phil Randle Chainsaw 2 What a Trooper

8, Dec chainsaw 3
9. Sandra / Had to collect there new holiday home
10, Johnny / Had to go with Bob to collect there new holiday home

So after such a great effort by the magnificent 4 its time for some of the excuse makers to step up next saturday cause we need to go out and do the other 80% of trails.

Just to clear something up, I never put my name down for this day, it somehow got put on the list, I don't want ppl thinking that I've put my name down & then pull out.
If you read the post you would have read the following statement
"If Ive put your name on the list and you cant make it please give me plenty of notice as I really do not want last minute pull outs on this one."
But don't worry mate I wont bother putting your name down again without you first asking as I really do not want you to take offense at me thinking that you would automatically want to be included in a day out. C Ya soon old mate.

Moderators hat on.

Frankie and Will. You two need to get together and have a talk. The web site is not the place to be discussing your issues.
Please keep the ride reports to ride reports.
