Well six of us lined up to venture out in more slop than last week. I took the old XR600 out an boy was that hard work trying to get up and down some of them clay hills, the new geomax51 Dunlops which I fitted to the big Kato are much better the the Michelin M12 fitted to the XR, if I was'nt loosing the front it was the back trying to get away, I did manage to find a deep hole and gracefully had a quick fly over the bars and breaking the bar risers as the bike landed. Thanks to all who lent a hand to get the bars back on the bike.
Frankie turned up on his old KTM and seemed to enjoy himself. Pommy Mat turned up on his new CRF Honda which most of us had a ride and let me tell you if you are in the market for a new bike go ride one of these they are a nice bike to ride.
We finished of reckying for the HTFU and found Frankie's hill which was good to put it on the map. There had been so much rain in the area the we did a river crossing today which is normally just a stream.
And even all the tracks had streams running down them.
We started at 8.30 and finished at midday and did around 60ks. Then we headed of to the pub for lunch and home by 3pm.
Update on the Omega Neck Brace, After some minor adjustments last night was more comfortable today than last week so looks like it could be the G.O.
A big thanks to my 5 Hard friends who faced the conditions like reel men with me, when they could have just stayed home and put there nuts in her hand bag for safe keeping.

I've gotta say that lying in bed this morning listening to the rain pelting down had me thinking, where would I rather be, here or belting around the bush in rain and slop with a bunch of good blokes?? Thanks for another good day out on the bikes....

Good on ya boys , we ventured out this morning and headed to Noojee ....  Rode with 4 non menbers so I could't bring them on your ride ( I refuse to keep bringing them as guests the suckers can cough up the 60 bucks like the rest of us ) i hear ya when you say slop the other side of the river was no better than neerim by the sound of it - We did 55ks and it took us 5 hours and every bit of energy my oLd body could muster but still glad we went I think its called charecter building.

Hope your OK after you off.

I beat Will to  unloading place by 1/2 an hour, I don't know why tho, I was still sitting in the car listening to some music & hoping that the ride would be called off :)driving up in the poring rain off & on isn't my perfect day for riding
but the look on Wills face I thought to my self, looks like we are riding, when the others arrived they were all keen to ride, I really wasn't in the mood riding the old Kato & my throttle hand still not 100%anyway as I got some k/m under my belt it got a bit easier riding the slops,( I wish I was riding the beemer)it turned out to be a good days riding & the lunch at the pub was great.
Matt gave me a ride on his brand new Honda, he offered me a ride on it a couple of times, I think he really wanted to have a ride on my old Kato Grin, when I said to him no thanks he looked very disappointed so I then said ok his eyes lit up & we were off, I didn't want to give the new bike to many berries but it was hard not to, to my surprise it was a very rider friendly bike to ride even in the slops, when we came to the corner markers I looked over to Matt expecting him to want his bike back, he just waved me on I thought gee Matt must be enjoying the Kato, or was he just giving me a good ride on his new Honda I think that was the case, Grin Thanks mate for the ride on your new toy.

Thanks Will for putting on the ride.
Also thanks to Matt, James,Rossi,& Gary, it's always a pleasure to ride with you blokes.

Falling off doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop that does the damage.
