Where I want to be...

« on: June 23, 2009, 01,14:33 PM »

We got away about 1/2 an hour late, due to me letting the team down. Steeds in tow!

Al was the man in control for the trip to Ouyen.

Wade's input during the trip was not much!

First refuel at Hattah after the 32 odd Km run up the railway from Ouyen.

Dave, in full bee camo, talks to a fat bastard while Wade and Row... First and only break down for the trip was repaired here, a long range tank had been fitted with not enough care resulting in an ignition wire being shorted out. Easy fix.

Lunch stop near Rocket Lake, refuel and BBQ lunch, thanks boys.

They had laid out our Jerries; we rode up next to your one and toped up.

Guddza stops to check the GPS on the edge of Rocket Lake.

Guddza still checking that GPS.

I did take a few shots of people riding motorcycles!
Dave S WR450.

Mark E TE410.

Rowan S EXC250.

Afternoon refuel, about 4:30ish, about 80km to go for the day. Finished in the dark and got rain on. A few wished they had better lights to see with while riding in the sand.

Refuel was at the corner of Underbool and Sunset tracks.

We got to ride Sunset as the sunset, it was not beautiful!

At the end of Sunset trk a few got a fire going as it was thought it would take a bit for some to get there. Unfortunately there was no time to enjoy the fire, we had just got it going and then everybody had turned up.
Finished with 320 km done for the day.

The next morning getting ready to get ready to ride!
We stayed at the hotel in Murrayville, can't say I was impressed with the place but new owners are coming in soon.

Here is Jay yet again "fixing" a problem with the wiring on his bike. He spends a lot of time doing this!

Taking in the sights from one of the dunes.

Steve W took a photo of the tail man coming up the dune.

Looking Nth from the top of the dune, Mark C and Rowan S.

Alex's 1st attempt failed!

Bit more throttle on the 2nd go!

Jay had to get off and push his up the last bit.

Back at the Ouyen Hotel, the ride done, 520km on the Speedo.

Thanks to Guddza for doing the weekend. Cost per person for accommodation and lunches were $130 great value.

I can recall the day Australia went to the dogs...
The day that I had to pay for sauce on my pie.

That video gives away the secret of how to get your bike onto the other side of the fence that shouldn't be there. Roll Eyes
