Where I want to be...

« on: July 14, 2011, 08,16:03 AM »

Rainbow Friday night, some should drink less before a ride...

15 on bikes Saturday morning 12 on bikes at Pinnaroo, Alex and Tim only rode with us till lunch and found another way back to their car.

230 km for Saturday, several showers just to keep us cool, into Pinnaroo about 4pm.

Pub in Pinnaroo was okay...

407 km for the weekend, back at cars at 3pm, backup car back at 3:30.

Thanks to those who participated and all your relaxed attitudes.

Peter, Matt and Darren, welcome to the club it was great to have you all along.

Thanks to "The Desert Dugong" for covering the tail for the weekend.

11 on bikes back at the cars, 11 X 407km = 4477km

100% of Husqvarnas completed the weekend...

I can recall the day Australia went to the dogs...
The day that I had to pay for sauce on my pie.

Awesome weekend Tim, thanks for organising it. I had an absolute blast riding the deep sand, we should do it more often. Thanks to Dennis for going taliman all weekend and Big Al for 4wd support and lunch duties.

Great Weekend away Tim, You certainly know your way around out there and the support from everyone at the second days lunch break was really appreciated. Thanks to everyone for trying to get me running again. Next time I'll be better prepared. Smiley

Thanks for the welcome Tim, I'm sure Pete & Matt will agree that we couldn't have asked for a better first ride with AMTRA.  Already trying to work out how I can pack enough fuel onto my bike to take it next year instead of Dad's loud DRZ so I can run with the other 2-strokes.

Got the dent straightened out yet Nath?

We only used 13L for the first 70km   Undecided

The rest of the time was ok its just the deep sand that was the problem.

You sure got that drz moving id hate to see you on something a bit more nimble, id never keep up..

Yeah Dave, it was good fun riding with you and Nathan, would have started to get a bit risky to push the DRZ any harder though.  I find that I'm just not fit enough to ride my bike fast all day, where as the DRZ doesn't tire me out so much.  Great fun though - really enjoyed the ride.  Especially when everyone was so relaxed and friendly. Tim, Denis and Al make a great team.

Would like to give that first section of deep sand a go on my regular bike, lighter 2 stroke, steering damper, stiffer suspension, hmmm.  (Probably end up getting spat off...)

Soo, AMRTA Simpson trip???  hahaha

Oh yeah, a couple of vids, one from Pete:

Hey mate, haven't got the rim straightened yet, still tossing up wether to just buy a new rim or get the dint fixed, probably would have been better to not hit a mallee root at 93kmh in the first place!

Matt's wipeout was a good one!
