WHAT A DAY!!!!
To start with, a big thanks to Will for organising and leading a great ride.
Anticipation got the better of me and after laying in bed wide awake for 3 hours i got up, had a shower, loaded the car, hooked on the trailer and was on the road just prior to 3am.
I got to the car park at about 5 (its bloody dark in the middle of the bush at night!!) and finally managed to get some shut eye shortly there after.
with everyone turning up on time we were ready to go for the planned 8am start and off we went. this was my first ride back and my first ride on my new(er) bike and the first thing i noticed was how weird it was riding on pivotpegz - the pegs on the old bike were about half the width with blunt grip and they didnt move under your feet!!
Once i felt comfortable(ish) on the bike i had an absolute ball. Will took us on a great mix of tracks (sometimes more than once
) with a couple of good hills (up and down) and some awesome "rarely used" 4wd tracks!!!
I had 2 little offs for the day which thankfully came pretty late and with no after effects!!
the feed afterwards was decent enough (has anyone seen where the fish is?!?!?!) and it was good to sit back and have a bit of a chat.
was also well planned Will getting the organisers to push back the start of the F1's to enable us time to get home and unload before the race started - nice work
