For those who couldnt make it to Justin's first "leader" ride, you missed a great weekend, so make sure you get along to his next one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wayne & I met up with Justin Friday evening at the caravan park where a really nice cabin had been organised for us. Pommy Matt arrived at around 1.45 am !! Day 1 Justin gave us a pretty solid workout.... a great mix of tight & open trails with a few gnarly little ups & downs that got the heart rate well & truly pumping !& plenty of sneaky logs to get over. The trails in this neck of the woods just go on forever, we seemed to circle around Beechworth, Yackandandah..... Justin knows the area amazingly well. Justin had gone to the trouble of organising a fuel dump plus an esky of nice bread rolls & cold drinks for lunch... what a legend !! By about 140klm, Pommy Matt & I were pretty much knackered, Wayne & Justin were still up for more, but took pity on us & headed for home. Sat evening consisted of a nice swim in the lake at the van park & a bbq at Justin's place. Sunday morning & the rain was pissing down !!! Matt& I were looking for excuses to not ride , but then Glen & his drz turned up, so we had to get going !! We trailered the bikes down to a place called Eldorado, where Justin promised us the rain would clear up & the riding would be a bit easier ..... What can I say ? The rain did clear up & Eldorado is pretty much dirt bike heaven........sandy loam soil,a bit of grippy clay, nicely bermed corners, very little of that high country rocky crap, some tight & some open trail..... it was a hoot !!! About 7oklm & then lunch at the Eldorado Pub.
I've got some hemet cam video of day 1, which i'll put up if & when my non existent technical skills allow..... I had enough trouble figuring out how to turn the thing on !
Thanks Justin, you put in a lot of work to give us a great weekend of riding.

Thanks for the kind words Steve. I'm glad you and Wayne had a good time. I'll take your advise and avoid those more technical sections for level 2 and level 2 + rides next time and use them for Clubman type rides only. Thanks for the little gift box, my wife thought it was very nice. To all the guys who came; Steve, Wayne, Matt and Glenn. I really enjoyed riding with you and couldn't have wished for a better bunch of guys to ride with.
Thanks for making it a great weekend,
Justin

Best time to ride ElDorado is after rain, the grip on the tracks is at its premium. Suprised you didn't ride out of Beechworth down through Woolshed though you can link some great tracks going that way.

Yeah I know, it's fantastic after rain, that's why I took the guys there. I usually ride down Malakoff Rd to Woolshed falls and then link up with CFA track or one of the tracks on the other side of the road. The trailering was for the benefit of the guys heading back to Melb. Plus we could have lunch in the pub after the ride. The Husky 150's only had rec reg as well and it's school hols. Justin
