We Arrived at John T's Joint around 7.00pm friday night, the ground was quite slushy so we drove out to the back Poddock to take a look at the area we were going to use for some Information Help. John drove around the track that we would use in the Morning and then decided to go a bit Mental, "slideways", thats a term used for when things get a bit crazzzy  on Wet grass n Mud.
It rained throughout the night, but around 6am it stopped, "Thank God for that" Fred n Marls turned up early to set up the Food cooking area and John got a Massive fire Happening.
Everyone turned up so John Let them rip in the Paddock, He then decided to take us out in the bush for a spin, and silly me Did the Tailman thingy.
Tailman is really not my Cup of Tea, i find that i struggle
just to keep my Balance, and after about 1 Hr of doing 2 Klms/hr i fouled a Spark Plug and had to change it, lucky Angus had a spare cos i had my 570 back pack on, not RMX back pack.
Anyway we headed back after about 2 hrs of Putt Putt for lunch and woofed down some Snags N Sh!t.
I had been following Nicole for the morning ride and decided to show her some a few riding Techniques for going a bit quicker, so after about 1.5 Hrs Nicole had picked up her speed and felt the next time she went out riding she could use the information and go a bit quicker.
We all decided to head back in the bush for another spin, i did the Tailman thingy again but the pace was a bit quicker as Nicole had decided to go Home, now i was Chasing Marls around the tracks and helping her with the technical parts of the Tracks.
WE got back to the cars around 4.30 " i think", and all packed up and went home.
NOTE: Thank you Angus for helping Nicole  with her skills.
I'm sure there where lots Happening at the Front of the pack and someone else can fill you in on that. Overall i had a great day, and look forward to the next Ride at Mt Dissapointment on the 14th August.

As you are aware you pay $5.00 for lunch, and get Snags , hamburgers, Cakes, cold drinks, Ice, Tea n Coffee  this will be changed to $10.00 to cover the costs as $5.00 just doesn't cover it.
Thanks Freddo/Marls for Setting up and organising the Food.

Hi all,
Another fantastic AMTRA Information ride day, with John T at the helm this time & what a great day & what a great place to ride.
Freddo & I thought we'd make a weekend of it & headed over Friday arvo. Sunny all day in Melbourne & got to Daylesford & the cats & dog's started...& kept going all night. Good grief I think, but to the contrary it stopped raining just as we started to set up at base camp. You we're right Jess; the sun did come out by 10am & the rest of the day "ab fab!"
Sandy loam tracks with a few obstacles, ups & downs, logs, rocks (my favourites  Lips sealed), creeks, gullys, puddles etc...we did it all. As always, what a great, patient bunch to ride with & alot of new faces. Nicole, Jess & I were the 'Girl Power' force for the day. Great that more girls are starting to discover the club & the rides... Paul from Powerhouse Motorcycles kindly lent me a couple of his bikes to test ride. A Sherco 2009 450, which I found for me, a bit too much to handle & his 2010  Factory Sherco 300...loved her... Grin  I just have to practice my throttle control & learn how to wind it on more (thank's John, Pete & Fred for your observation of where I'm going wrong)..I promise to keep practicing   Wink . Dave (Zeke) also let me ride his Berg 570...wow!! That's the second time I've ridden one (very carefully)...Unbelievable power, but sorry for tipping her over when I stopped Dave..oops.. . I also got a blast on Pete's RMX 250 ...what can I say  Shocked  Great fun....    By the way John, I haven't forgotten those..several... mud roosts either...you will keep  Huh
Fred put together an awesome lunch & thanks Pete for helping cook the grits too.
Looking forward to the next one...
Here's the pics from the day including one fantastic shot of the day, of Angus on his awesome new Nambotin Replica Gassa 300..
Cheers...Marls

Wow that looked like a great spot to base the day from. Plenty of grass track style motorcross fun to be had there!!

A very heart felt thanks to the poeple who take the time to set up and run events like this , I cam along to check things out before I joined and got way more than I ever bargained for   Cheesy Grin
