Monday, and I sit in front of my window looking out at clear blue sky and the tiniest rustling of leaves.  Just one day makes the difference.
Eleven of us fronted up in drippy foggy almost rain. It looked like it could improve. Ted was back on his bike after a long break and we welcomed a few new riders.
The tracks did not let us down, standard Marysville clay and slick. It is almost impossible to chose a track that doesn't have at least one tricky up or down hill and we were not to be disappointed. Mark had a bit of trouble with an old injury and pulled out early. Kat found the slippery up hills a bit challenging, though I think she did extremely well for a first ride.
It had started to rain a bit, my goggles and glasses were fogging up, can't see without the glasses Huh Huh, so had to dispense with the goggles. We looped around the usual tracks a bit and found ourselves at the cake shop for an early lunch.
The cake shop was remarkably quiet, may-bee just the weather. Ted, Kat and Luke decided to call it a day so the rest of us wandered off to see what else we could find to slide around on.
As the afternoon progressed the rain was becoming real drops and not much fun anymore.  It was time to go Grin.  The final run back to the cars was not fun, my legs were cramping up a bit and my boots felt like they were full of water, however I had managed to keep upright all day.
Thank you one and all for coming, and your continuing support.

Thanks for putting on the ride Phil, I had a great day with a great group of riders.

The amount of water about made some of the tracks quite challenging, especially a couple of the tracks after lunch which wasn't helped by the tyres on my bike that would have passed for a dry ride. This did provide some laughs for the afternoon tail man and I think I was sideways more so than not. Despite the slippery conditions I managed to remain upright most of the day.

Thanks again,

Peter.

Thanks for the ride day Phil,

Kat and I had a blast, although when we first decided to take up dirt bikes, no one told us about the excessive hillside oxygen consumption   Grin

We had a great day and felt well looked after by everyone.  Thanks to the boys for the 'rescues' of Kat's bike on the ever so grippy hills. A special thankyou to Ted for making us feel very welcomed.

Great ride.  We'll be back again. Smiley
