G'day all,
I didn't ride this one, but will definately be on Pat's next one shortly. Managed to sneak in a short ride though, to test my busted shoulder out early in the morning & all went well, just to ease myself back into it. Pat, Jeff & Craig, were already there, heading out on the morning hard rooster ride & we got back just in time to greet the beginner punters.
26 in all, including 3 chix, headed out soon after, to what Frogman described as an interesting, career building & character enhancing beginners ride & I bet they never realised that they would learn how to 'Ice Scate' as well  Lips sealed . He said it was great to see everyone giving it a go, under 'Winter Wonderland' conditions & everyone did really well.
Also, thanks Pat for the ride & to Froggy's partner tailman in crime Bobman & to all helpers & also special thanks to Jeff for dinking out Gateano with the injured foot, after his slight crash in the 'Special Section'...hope you are ok & get well soon..
The following are some pics we both took & we look forward to the next ride....together.....maybe....finally...who knows  Roll Eyes

Until the next ride...

Posted this under the calendar discussion of this ride, but here is probably the more appropriate area.

Thanks Pat for organising the ride on Saturday.
As a newbie it was a great learning day for me, my first time riding on sludgy soft surfaces which I had been avoiding prior to this ride.
Special thanks to Bob and Fred for their patience and encouragement.

Jeez mate, you didn't make much noise for a broken ankle, I squeel like a 5 year old every time I even roll mine.  Hope it heals up well and your back in the bush soon.

Thanks for the day Pat, great fun as usual.

Thanks everyone for coming along and Fredbear/Bob doing tail duties.

Morning hardcore ride report.

Myself, Gums and Jeff went on the early morning expert ride. The morning was wet, cold and even more slippery than the afternoon ride. On one track i was doing a out of control 45 degree slide for a several meters before spearing off the track, missing trees by centimeters. Stayed upright though. We went up several overgrown tracks, then out to the powerlines. Last weekend i saw the start of a overgrown 4x4 track, so we checked it out. Was an awesome track and will be included in future rides. At 10.30 we headed back to the cars to pick up the beginner riders. 55km in 2.5 hours.

Thanks everyone for a great ride.Pat's lead, and Bob and Fred's tailman duties made it an enjoyable 1st ride with the club for me.
Hope the ankle heals quick Gaetano.

Thanks
Ash.
