Mark Clark Husky WR300
Andrew Petrie KTM 300 EXC
Rudz Webel KTM 300EXC

What can one say about such an ace day, if you did not spend the day outside you truly missed out on perfect weather.
We met just before 8am at the designated meeting spot opposite Wild Cow Track to find the parking area full of road maintenance equipment and a crew taboot telling us that they needed the area clear so we waited till around 8.20am for everyone to arrive and then headed up to 11klm mark on the Tanjil Bren Rd and unloaded and suited up and hit the trails around 9am.
Back up Tanjil bren for a couple of Ks to Delpretes East and then down onto Morgan tk and then onto Beynon ck rd and then onto the trail opposite and up and down and around to Good hope Tk for our first regroup.
We then headed west on Goodhope tk and due to track blockages ended up on Lady Sutton Manner Sth rd and eventaully to Lady Sutton MannerRd and back to Tanjil Bren for a second regroup and morning tea and a quick visit to the woods to see if its true what a bear does in the woods.
We then headed for our unnamed over grown tracks for some much needed punishment, by the end of the first trail 4 of us waited and waited for Rudi and Bill to arrive. Apparently Rudi saw 20 cents on the ground and jumped of his bike to pick it up and in the process hyper extended his right knee, we then hit the second overgrown trail and found some trees down already but managed to go over or under or around , Rudi was getting slower by now so we headed down Palmers Tk to the river for some lunch.
Whilst having lunch we found an old rickety bridge across the river and we thought mmm lets go that way even though there's a big downed tree to go around as Rudi was limping badly Bill suggested the I call Al for advice on the track and he informed me a good clubman rocky hill and a really slippery downhill at the end. a bit of a conference and we decided to leave it to next time so we did the wonderful Tyres River Rd from one end to another and then upto Christmas Creek rd were I treated them to a special dead end track but well worth the effort.
Rudi was not getting any better so we ended up on the South Face Eye Rd and then headed sth east to Buckle Spur Rd and down into the scout camp and back to Delpretse and another regroup and then nearly home I had to switch to reserve but not quick enough, not long and back on our way once again we arrived back at the cars with around 100klm on the speedo and around 3pm ish and 6 smiling faces and one sore knee. Thanks everyone for chumming me along on another great exploration ride.
Interesting I started with 12psi in the front and 10psi in teh rear and not to long before I was letting air out to try and find some balance in the bike, not long and much better balance and grip. Must check tomorrow whats in there for future reference.

Hey Will

Thanks for an awesome day.
Good weather good blokes and it was really relaxed.Until i saw 20 cents on the trail.
The Neurofen saw me through cause Sunday morning i couldnt walk.
Went to the Kwak today and it turned out that the Asterisk knee braces saved the knee and there is no serious damage, i will be back on the trail in a few weeks.

Thanks to all.

I had a great day and the ride was at a good pace with a sh*t load of fun in the slippey conditons for 2/3rds of the day. I was a little bit out numbered, all bloody 2 bangers Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Even better I also stayed upright for the whole day Grin

Bring on the next one Will.
