G'day all,
Thank's Pat for letting Frogman & I, gate crash your 'Sherco Tree' ride today..the first AMTRA ride i've been on where the Sherco's out-numbered the rest; ie 2 Yammys, 2 Huskys, 2 Hondas & 3 Sherco's  Kiss ....
As this ride was posted as a 'Not sure of the ride level, maybe a 2, see how it goes mate ride', it was a green light for a couple of us AMTRA chicks to give it a crack. Yes, level 2 rides are definately a step up from the level 1's as we know, but I guess the only way to improve is to keep giving it a go which is what we did. To all, had a great day & once again those lovely overgrown 4WD tracks & rocky mountains high, tested all the skills. I still am yet to conquer 'That Hill' but we will get there....one day  Huh Pat lead us to lunch, sitting around the Sherco Tree...Sherco Tree you may wonder???  Wink Check out below.  Thanks Wingman for the tailman duties & all the help & assistance given by all; it's ALWAYS appreciated...Hey Zeb, did you like riding my 300 in the down hill slalem? you know you want one, really....  Grin   I'll do a rain check on my test riding of your Husky 2-Smoker at your next ride..
A few of us decided to exit the ride a bit earlier & cruise back & enjoy the magic scenery in these parts, while Pat continued to lead the keen natives further out into the wild. They will have to tell you how they ended up...
Pat, looking forward to your next level 1.99999 ride, you know we will be there....
Here are just a few pics from the day...Until the next one..
Cheers, Marls

Marls, I think Zeb would have given his last cigarette to be riding your 300 again by the end of the arvo....but I'll let him tell the story...

Yep my poor little husky threw a shoe on a very nice little climb .....  i blew up a clucth unfortunatley.

The worst part was the i lost the clutch at probably the furthest point from the cars so Super Sherco Pat had to come back in his 4by and pluck me and my bike out of heaven. ( Froze my ass off by the time he went around the world and got back ) Thanks pat would have been screwed without ya.

Actually we loaded my bike onto his ute and i rode pats Sherco BACK to the car park .... hmmmm twas a very pleasant ride BUT DONT TELL ANYONE I ACTUALLY ENJOYED RIDING A 4 BANGER.

Now the pressure is on to get a new HD clutch in before Fumina NEXT WEEKEND.

Falling off doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop that does the damage.

Nice pics Team Sherco!! Especially liked the ones of the Sherco tree. Definatley a step up from the level one stuff, but at least I know what I need to work on for future rides. Which hill were you talking about Marls? I seem to remember lots of them!! That single track was ace fun with all the logs, I could have done that stuff all day. Special big thanks to a very patient Freddo, mate I owe you lots of beers! Also thanks to Steve and Marls for your encouragement!

Till the next ride Smiley
