Today I had my first ride with the AMTRA club and the first time I have thrown my leg over a bike in 10 years. Phil's ride was great but the tracks were very greasy after so much rain in the led up to this weekend keeping everyone on their toes. We had a group of 9 and got away right on time. A few easy trails before coming out at a bog hole.A few riders went around and didn't realise I laid it down and couldn't restart so headed off thinking everybody was there! Anyway after some phone calls I head up the road to Marysville and the boys were along soon after to rescue me. Too early for lunch and the fuel bowsers closed at Marysville we head off to Buxton through some more trails. We had a small hold up with the police at Marysville but they were in a good mood and sent our rider on his way. Fuel for bikes and bodies at Buxton and then the RMX would not restart. After a push from Eric and Rob (which resulted in them inhaling a lung fuel of two stroke smoke)  Smiley (thanks guys)we were back on the trails. A few very slippery hills and a rocky hill from hell then before you knew it the ride was over(131km in total!) Great day, great people and smiles all round. The bad luck trophy of the day going to Simon with not 1 flat but 2!! Thanks again Phil and Rob S for tailman all day. I will be laying down my money to join ASAP and can't wait for the next ride!!!!  Cheesy Cheesy
