OK, just a few words from me as I only managed a few kms.

Phil led the ride and was our sweep. 25 riders in all left the car park and head off on some surprisingly greasy tracks.
Now Sundays ride also had a good cross section of bikes on display new and old, 2T and 4T, Euro and the others.
A little extra flavour this week with the Beta 450RR making a Return Demo ride to Marysville along with its new sibling (under the roof at Valley Force Husaberg/Beta in Lilydale) the 2009 model FE450E from Husaberg available for demo rides also. A big thanks to Andrew from VFH/B for sharing his Sunday with us and bringing the bikes along.

Now the riding did I mention it was greasy? Well it was. Marysville at least has still been getting a drop and along with the tracks the bog holes were full too!
Some more full than they should have been. At about 20km in my bike went 3 feet under. A beginners mistake but I was not alone 2 more were to follow. So we lost a good hour dewatering bikes but as it turned out during this time our sweep had still not come through!
Ted is usually pretty reliable in this respect but on Sunday those greasy tracks claimed him and all those early morning stretches were just not enough as his Hammy or some other muscle decided to let go.
So Ted was trucked out and this gave the ride a chance to regroup at the cars where the water logged bikes full of gearbox milk instead of oil were loaded up after a short mornings work.
I am sure Chris will come to the party shortly as some of the day must have been caught on film.

A quick note on the Beta 450RR which I had a quick blast on and I must say it certainly was confidence inspiring with more than enough power it sat nicely on the track and I am surprised we don't see more of these out on the trail.
The FE450E is an amazing bike to look at and appears to be everything that Husaberg has promised. I look forward to riding this bike in the bush before long, which of course would have happened if I had not gone for an early morning swim.

Somebody else can share with us the afternoon adventure and an update on what happened to Ted in the end.

To all,  Ted arrived home to a warm welcome and rolling eyes from his wife, he doesn't always get home that early.
Off to the doctor on Monday, a strain or tear in a muscle, two weeks off work and lots to bore his workmates with when he returns. He is ok but pissed off with himself.

I'm pleased to hear Ted is ok and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Not at all, price of a base & head gasket about $65.
definitely worth doing found silt in the crankcases!
not worth risking the motor for the sake of a little work.
