I checked out the Weather on Thursday and it looked like it could be a Wet Ride for Saturday, and for a Change they were nearly right.  John T picked me up at 8.00am and Headed for the Hills, on the way up there we came across some Signs stating Cashews 1kg $5.00,, sounds like a deal. Yeh Crap "Chilli Cashews" are $ 5.00 but the good ones he wanted $12.00 kg so i got some and forgot to hand them around at the Lunch Break.

Anyway we arrived just before 9.00am and the others rolled up just after, there were some other Guys there but were riding with someone else.
Tallarook State Forest is only 10klm x 10klms but has around 120 klms of open, Technical, and Narrow Trails up for grabs.
It's been around a Year since i last had a AMTRA ride up there, but i knew most of the good tracks and with overnight Rain it was on.
Adam had a near new Lemon EXC 450 and i wanted to put him through some Hell, Ryan had a Lemon 250 2 banger and as most Lemons do, it had a mind of it's own and everynow and then it headed off the track and into the Bush. Stewart was riding a WR250 and did an Excellent job climbing some Pisser hills. Peter M rolled up with a KLX 450 with the sticker kit bling, but soon justified his Hot Looking Bike.
The Weather was cool and overcast with NO rain and NO Dust, John T had the Helmet Cam running most of the Day, and managed to capture some Crazy Footage. We had lunch around 12.00 and i forgot to pack the Gas Bottle BBQ Adaptor so one i the guys borrowed a gas burner from some Campers and we cooked on the bonnet of a Burnt out Car Wreck.
After lunch i took the guys to some Harder stuff and i managed to forward flip "Endo" my bike on top of me whilst going down a Steep section, But Ryan was quick on the scene to untangle me from my Mishap .
We covered around 100 k's for the Day with a couple of us having some offs, only i had an injured leg "AGAIN" from my flip.
It was nice to see some different Faces and New Member supporting my rides, also the rider skill level was quite high which made for a speedy ride.
Thanks Guys for a Great Ride and some Pisser moments.

Video uploads will come later, once John gives me a DVD of the Footage.

Bloddy fantastic ride today Pete. You've provided me with a great story for all my non riding buddies with such an excellent stack from a spectators point of view. Barbi was a greet idea, again after the ride next week I'm hoping. I'm hanging out to see this video, wondering which moments were actually caught.
Cheers

Not often i get the Back Wheel Overtaking my Head, usually it's the Front Wheel that is at Head Height. And thanks for help getting me back upright and on the Bike.
John had a good laugh and i did too !!
My legs a bit sore, but should be right for Eildon-woody.

Was a great day Pete you put on a great ride. Plenty of variety in the tracks for only being 10k X 10k. One thing you forgot to mention was the fact Adam is married to Ryan's sister. A few jokes on the track about that and a good belly laugh all round. Well done and cant wait for the next one. John, expert camera man, any chance you could burn me a DVD of the ride. I'm happy to pay for postage or collect it from the monthly meeting ! What ever suits.
Cheers,
Stuart.

Sweet ride Pete, thanks for setting it up. Top work to you and John, appreciate the friendly acceptance of a new member.

Some great tracks, one I prefer to forget......LOL.

All the guys on the ride were great company & enjoyed a laugh, usually at someone elses expense!

Gotta love the story about sleeping with ya sister........hahaha still laughin.

Hook me up anytime you are riding again, the whole day went off without a hitch.

John I suspect your forks may have been filled with helium accidentally as it appears very "light" and has trouble staying on the ground.  Grin

3 days have gone past since my Front Flip (Endo gone wrong) and the pain has gone, but now i'm left with Bruising:
Left Leg behind my Knee " Foot peg into back of Knee"
Left & Right front leg Bruising " Handlebars digging into the front of my legs". Funny how i always damage my legs and never had a problem with my Arms. Although i did Knacker myself going over a rather large tree a few years ago!!
